Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Been getting asked about light output on new headlights so figured I'd post. As usual when taking pictures of lighting at night it just doesn't do it justice. I'm very happy with the results.
Was very windy so some pics are blurry.

Just a friendly reminder to keep that HVAC system working smoothly.

Clean those fresh air intakes out under the hood. All sorts of debris can accumulate there. Especially this time of the year.

It's recommended to do this with a shop vac. Also, while there check for rodent activity.

    Then check your in-cab filter.

Was surprised at how much debris made it past the fine mesh at the cowling to the in-cab filter.

Overall mine wasn't too bad after one year but mine is garage kept. If you park outside all the time yours may be worse.

    Those are after pictures.

I remove my cowl once a year to deep clean that area. We get lots of stuff that falls between the cowl and the wiper transmission through the wiper arm holes. By the end of summer there is a nice sludge built up there.

Finally got around to removing the chrome Toyota emblems from the center caps and applying some cheap temporary TRD decals until the custom center cap decals arrive. Just need black lugs now.

Hmmm... interesting. Does the cowl come off fairly easily? Also, the design of the fresh air intakes, related drain holes in the cowling and the wiper pits seem like debris magnets.

    Comes off real easy.

Remove wiper arms (with hood down or you will damage the hood)
Each side has a push clip that connects it to the fender trim, remove those.
Then it just pops up and slides out from under the windshield.

Its a terrible design for anyone who parks under or near a tree.

    1. got it on! Just have to get the drain tubes installed but I think I’m going to re-rout them to the side of the bed using a PVC elbow .

Careful when/ if you drill. I recently read about a shop that punctured the fill neck of the gas tank as it's super close to the bed. I haven't crawled under the truck to confirm, but I thought I'd throw that out there.
