    As noted this is Very Strange because there are members on here that have been using the same for more than 5 years with daily use. The materials have not changed.
    Maybe you are rubbing it against something else when storing it away? The dash would not cause the material to rip.
    But, in good faith if there is nothing else wrong with the shade (meaning no visible signs of misuse) I will exchange it out for you. PM me and I'll give you the instructions to do so.
