Does anyone have any tips or tricks for finding housing out here? I don't want to live on-post and the on-post waiting list is about 2-4 months out. I'll loose my mind in this hotel. :annoyed:

Probably be better to rent if you aren't planning to retire here when you get out. The only time I've ever seen the market go down was during the housing crash in like 09. I was wise enough to pick up a house in '11, and sell/buy again in 18 before the pandemic and prices shot up again.

My buddy bought a house here around 2012 and is making a nice profit off it now that he is PCSing.
Our house in Germany was about a 30min drive and I hated living that far from post. We went to the coast last weekend and it was awesome. I'm from San Diego so the beach was a bit different then I'm use too but still really cool.
    I'll check it out!
We were looking at houses down in Yelm. Besides the distance, it's move my style of living.

On base shouldn't be that long, I know everyone says that but look into it for yourself. Lots of bad info floating around. Now if you are picky on the house or area that will make the wait longer than needed.

I know in the AF we can stay in the on base hotel until you find a house. They just take your BAH and divide it for the month and pay that directly to the lodging.

I looked more into it and we are now on a 2 month waiting list. We're staying at the on base hotel but ready to get a home. The 2-4 month waiting list time came from housing. They updated my move in time cause me report date changed. We're most likely going off post.

The bypass part yeah, but the live valve part no. Live valve on the Raptor, you can firm/soften the valving at a press of a button
