Seat Covers

Ok, seems like dark grey is the way to go. How do they look in person as far as match? (Look fantastic in pics)

 

has anyone found a neoprene seat cover that is somewhat near a wet okole? i know it will never be as good but something close would be nice before I spend 300 on them,

(btw: if you have never sat on/used a neoprene/wet okole seat cover, you will never want to go back to the crappy cloth covers)

 

Ok, I'm here to resurrect this old post, as Im trying to order Durafit covers but they don't send out color samples and @jammer it says your covers are dark grey twill but in your pics they look brown (and is the interior of the truck brown? The plastic trim on the seats looks like the same light brown I've got) I've got an early 2000 Tacoma Xtracab with a brown interior and all the Tan colors look like they'd be too 'yellow' to match the interior of my truck.

@JakesTacoTRD What color did you order? It looks good with your brown interior.

@GSDLVR123 You said you got the grey Carhartt covers but on my screen it looks more brown, so what's it like in real life? Maybe it's my screen making it brown? I turned off the blue light filter but the pic still looks like a fabric that would go with my brown interior...

Hello Rob.....They are dark grey twill. The plastic trim pieces are gray as well. I'll get another picture today, and post here.

Rob, after looking at the pictures I took today the trim does appear to be tan but it’s a light gray. Seat covers are also a tad darker gray than what they appear in the pics. I took several pics….hope this helps.

 

Hey thanks so much for the pics! I really appreciate your time to do that. It's crazy, on two different monitors, with all filters off and the settings set to "cooler" not "warmer" it still looks sort of light brown in the pics, which is why I was choked that they don't do fabric samples. I'd probably be surprised by the real life color of whatever I order...

The covers look good though, if I can get my colors sorted I'll go ahead and get them. Oh and that's a nice clean truck, BTW!

 

Yeah they are grey - my jacket on top of them (back seat) is brown (actually tan)...my son has brown ones, I have posted pics of those before...but the ones pictured in this thread are grey.

 

Here is a pic of my son's seats (2002 TRD Off road Tacoma)...his are the tan color - I like those better, but his truck is tan inside

 

Oh wow, that's very tan and more on the orange spectrum than my truck. I'm realizing my truck interior is more brown / taupe (a new word I've learned!) so maybe the Tan isn't right for me. I greatly appreciate the pics, they really help me with my choice.

 

They look more orange - it may be the light...his truck is taupe inside too (or tan lol)....I like the tan color, but I like browns...we have a horse farm and 90% of our tack is brown HAHAHA. Good luck

**There are a total of four that come in the box, but only two of them actually fit a standard cup holder. The other two are much larger and I gave them to a friend of mine who drives a Dodge Truck.
Can't say this will work for everyone, but I called Weather Tech and asked if I could just order the regular size cup holders, and unfortunately you can't. BUT, surprisingly they included another box for free.

Well I visited the 3 different seat cover manufacturers that are based here in Vancouver and not a one of them has anything in Taupe, so it looks like the Covercraft Seat Savers (semi-custom fit) will be the winners, as they're available in Taupe. Not as tight a fit but all the Tan colored ones are more like the Carhartt guys pictured above, which would stick out more than grey.

I had never heard of the the color "Taupe" before this wild goose chase, but now I do. Grey-brown and almost impossible to find these days.

The carharrts are the same as their orangeish overalls, fit looks good tho..: any light colored seat covers kinda dfeat the purpose of hiding stains.
Tacomas have either Oak or Gray interiors. And black goes with em both.
Dont get these, the fit is sloppy, constant readjust but they look good, getting in and out is easier. Slide type of denier, Browning brand held up good for a year so far and inexpensive

 

Well, it turns out the Covercraft Taupe is really just tan and doesn't match at all. I may try their "wet sand" color off Amazon as I can return them if they don't match.

Shearcomfort sent me swatches but they're out of taupe and only have tan and grey, none of which match. Wet Okole also sent me swatches and their Tan (Color #17) & Taupe (Color #100) together are almost a perfect match for my existing seats.

Now the question is, do I want to spend $530 CAD on seat covers for my 21yr old truck?!

Anyone have a discount code or is there one for TacomaWorld? Searching only shows me a group buy that is done...

My Tacoma has the tan interior, and these are perfect IMO. They fit great, no sagging, the material is tough, easy to clean, and these are one of the best seat covers I have found for the money. $197. I don't have any photos at the moment, but can provide some if anyone is interested.

They arrived about 10 days after ordering.

 

@jammer , what I want to know is where you got those nifty black strips for your lower door frame area (second photo)!
