That's the one that is in there now. The 4wheel drive has been giving me trouble prior to that, it would take some work to go in but at least it would go into 4 wheel drive. The last time I really used it and it worked was last October when I went to Florida and back in November was my last trip to Rausch. I did find out too during the last time I went to Rausch that my rear e locker stopped working too. Last spring I did loose a u joint and it also wiped out the 4 wheel drive switch on the transfer case. A local shop replaced that when they replaced the drive shaft so that is new too. But it hasn't been working since then. When you turn on the the 4 wheel drive you can here the switch engage on the transfer case and the 4 wheel drive ECU clicks once. I did buy a new ADD actuator. I didn't install it but I did plug it in and its not doing anything, but if I disconnect the ADD and leave it unplugged all the dash light light up. So there is some kind of signal getting to the ADD. I'm not sure really where to go from here, I'm trying to avoid taking it to the dealer. I don't trust a lot of mechanics anymore.

if your vehicle is registered and insured it is legal. Be aware that hunting season is starting soon and you may get some angry looks from small game folks out there.

so I forgot about the shocks, been driving my BRZ a lot more recently but took the truck in today and noticed a clanking noise from the rear.

    I figured it out.

Yup, that will definitely make it ride like shit. I've driven on no rear shocks once to @6 gearT444E's place and it was fucking terrifying.

Yeah will probably be getting new shocks this weekend.

Has anyone run 5100s with no lift and can recommend it?

I'd prefer not to do AAL of lift blocks, but the ability to level the front a bit would be nice.

Your best bet is searching titles for 5100's in the first gen section for more info. Not enough first gen's in the local NJ thread who can give good opinions.

Quick X-mas tree run to test out the new rig. Picked it up in GA, rust free, but not for long. (Yeah sold the Tacoma)
Didn’t see any patrols, or anyone for that matter. Especially quiet run in north jersey last weekend.

Anybody looking for a working OEM front diff actuator for a 2nd gen in good condition let me know. Found this one on the shelf when cleaning up. I took it apart to check the condition, contacts, gears, and motor are in good condition. All the limits work. Will make a good deal to someone local, Toyota wants around $300 for these new. Otherwise I'll post in the BST section next week most likely.
