thats awesome. my taco has only pulled a mercedes out of a ditch about 10 feet deep. mind you its a 2wd. i have an old doge dakto 4x4 with a 318 (work truck) i have pulled a trailer with 13453lbs on it. only reason i know the exact weight is because i got pulled over by dot and they put the trailer on scales but for some reason let me go even though i dont have a cdl. i will never forget that number that much weight going down the highway at 60mph

You do not need a CDL to operate a pickup truck with an over loaded trailer. The trailer would just be deemed unsafe...very unsafe if the trailer didn't have its own braking system.
I am surprised that they let you go because of that amount of weight. Typically when I enter a weigh station and have a lot of slush and stuff on the trailer, ( which weighs it down) they make us clear it off because if not, the trailer would be overweight and we get a nice hefty fine.

Class A -- Any combination of vehicles with a GCWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.

Class B -- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing a vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR.

had to tow a a 40 foot log back into the woods behind my church yesterday with my 4cyl prerunner. happy thought cause the pastor paid me $60 plus a full tank of gas! funny to cause this other kid wanted to do it with his dogde and the pastor had both of us there and told him i was gonna do it cause he like my truck better. . . so this prove that GOD loves TACO's!!!!

I pulled a 4wd jeep out of a ditch on the side of the road one icy night. I laughed while driving away in my 2wd Taco.... I'll bet he never told anyone about that.

I'v only managed to tow a couple things so far but the biggest is my 24' holiday trailer with a dry weight of approximately 4700 lbs that was loaded to the tits with gear. I dragged it over 1500kms or around 900 miles over the mountains in BC Canada and averaged 300kms to a tank of gas.

My granddads bass boat! Skeeter with 125Hp outboard. It's over my towing capacity with it full of gear & gas. I use 4lo to pull it out just in case. It's a pretty steep boat ramp where I go. ( These are some old pics, it's pretty much stock at this point, man was my truck FUGLY! )

Hauled a 12'x6' uhaul from Kansas to North Carolina. Other than that have pulled a lot of people out of snow banks. Used to get bored during the Smow storms in ks, would drive around and pull people out that were stuck. Amazing the looks you get when you ask someone if they need a hand. The 2nd gen now does the same during the winter months.

Was it only three or four, or did you go over the recommended tow weight? :D

I pulled out the neighbors F350 truck with attached stock trailer from his frosted field.

And I annually pull 2000# of wood burning pellets 4x/yr home on my little trailer, which is attached to my (NOT D.O.T. approved) home-made bumper!

A tie between hauling a trailer full of wet martyr and debris or pulling a raggedy Chevy with no reverse gear at the city dump in the rain.
