What are yall doing for off grid coffee?

A quarter inch adapter fits perfectly onto my Snow Peak grinder. And the light from my Milwaukee drill shines right into the chamber so I can watch the grind. Best discovery ever.

 

Hario Buono gooseneck kettle, ground the coffee the day before (though I may end up getting a hand grinder), GSI ultralight Java drip with #2 filters. I did bring my home scale for this trip. I will likely just get a $10 Amazon scale to live in the camping box.

 

Lay flat twig stove, Stanley Cup and pour over coffee bags.

looking into getting one of the Stanley French presses, would omit the need to carry the pour over bags.

 

Not many parties here in solitary, but every other Thursday I get Jello and a fresh towel…

 

All the time.......on my mtb's.......and coffee free.

My daughter bought me the Wacaco espresso pump with the double shot. Really nice once you get the grind right for it.

 

In case it’s not been mentioned already…

For backpacking I started buying empty teabags on Amazon. I fill them will a couple tablespoons of coffee grounds, fold and staple the top, then throw them in a ziploc. Just steep it like tea until it’s strong enough. I like how minimal the clean-up is.

just finding this - pseudo coffee snob here, as it's my source of income ha (sort of)! Usually I'll go with an aeropress or french press, but lately ive been brewing my own cold brew and filling a nalgene for the road!

 

I've always used an Aeropress, even at home.

 

Ive used AreoPress for years and it makes great coffee, but I just started bringing cream and using a bialetti moka pot and frothing the cream with a little electric frother.... hard to go back to regular coffee!

What’s a peculator? Sounds intriguing.

Anyway there is no finer way to make coffee, off the grid, on the grid, or anywhere, than French press.

 

This is a percolator. How our grandparents made coffee. Not the best, but very good. And definitely fun to do over the fire.

 

American press is the best.
