Glad you're okay... you gonna go with oem or aftermarket plastics?

It doesn't come standard with heated grips? That's surprising

Second the bigger pegs, makes a huge different for both comfort and being able to move your foot around to more places and off road grip.

I think the Adventure Sports one has those features standard.

    there are 4 versions:
    Standard manual
    Standard DCT

    Adventure Sport manual
    Adventure Sport DCT

but I believe the adventure sport is more aimed at touring and not offroad

My FJR has heated grips and I've rarely used them. With the cold air hitting the exposed portion of your hands not the inside part holding the grips I've found them of little or no use. I use heated gloves instead which also allows me to move them from bike to bike. YMMV.

Hippo hands + heated grips = the best. I put my HH back on a couple weeks ago once it was reliably lower than 60 out and it's so nice to wear normal 2 or 3 season gloves with barely any bulk to them and just slip your hands into a wind-free pocket of warmth.

Edit: one thing I am also thinking of doing, but haven't decided which way to go yet, is either electrical taping, like tennis racket or golf club grip tape, or sliding some heat shrink over the levers. They're aluminum and just soak in the heat off my fingers and I'm normally a two finger hoverer, so those two fingers are always chillier than the rest.

    None... yet.
Thanks, my thigh ended up looking like a grapefruit was stuffed under the skin. Almost made me nauseous when the wife asked to look and then screamed "Oh, sh!t!". Thanks, honey! lol

Looks worse but feels better today...

Definitely aftermarket! A few guys over on the CBR/F4i forum have been pleased with these - https://www.fairingmaster.com/cbr600f4i-0407-c-65_74_130/?sort=3a&page=2

Yeah I have some 3:1 or 4:1 tubing I was going to try first. It seems like it'd be the easier and cleanest option to remove down the road too.

for sure you can hit up a hardware store and get the job done for pennies on the dollar

my only comment on that would be the material/compound, most electrical heat shrink is more plastic slippery feel and less rubber grippy feel

With the right paint color and vehicle gold wheels really do set it off.
