Heh, I actually took my beater on an hour long ride around the area yesterday. This was after spending 30 minutes on a simple 5 minute bulb change. One of the reverse light bulbs had been burned out since I got it...

Just don't ask how it passed inspection like that :spy:

Figured it would be easy and cheap enough. Went and bought the $0.50 1156 bulb and tried to put it in. Frustration ensued all due to this rusty little bugger!

Thing was so corroded in the socket! After some cleaning and tweaking I got working reverse lights now!

Don't know how many miles I put on it since the speedo is still broken, but I was out for a good hour. Thing ran almost perfect (for what it is)! I had to quickly pull out of a back road onto the state road and pushed it to 6,000RPM's. There was a nice cloud of oil smoke behind me  Never revved it that high and somehow it held together. Think it was burning off some crud, the smoke quickly cleared... Cooling system is gonna need a go-over here soon. I can sense it getting a little warm, but never over-heats.

Are the vice-grips holding the hatch up factory or aftermarket?

I've seen sticks and ball bats used as props but never a pair of vice grips, I do use a pair of vice grips to keep my shop door from coming down at home though :anonymous:

Man you got a good eye! Strictly aftermarket

I've found they work the best for holding the hatch up. Trying to find the correct struts has been somewhat frustrating.

I actually used a wooden ruler back on my first car. Boy did I not know any better...

If anybody needs one, I went by Sams club the other day and they had these pressure washers on clearance for $199, no I didn't NEED one but bought one anyway :D

This one is 3400 PSI, they had a 2800 PSI marked down to $169, it was gas powered too.

Do you want your thread to blow up?

Because that's how you get your thread to blow up.

Depends on if I go to my wife's co-workers Halloween-ween party or not.

He didn't have his party last year but the preceding 3 years before that I helped bar tend with him. Is brother (John) used to bar tend but then he moved and I was asked to take over.

Since I was the John replacement, I've gone as John Wick, John McClane and John Rambo. :p

Lathe guy is behind, boss ask me to face this 2" schedule 40 stainless pipe off in the other lathe and he would see if the hardware store could thread it for us. He was gone 20 minutes, came back with both ends threaded for $4 :D

I don’t think you’ll need to be worried about your job till he unloads the rigid threader. Or let’s say the lathe guy doesn’t need to be!

it would have cost your shop more to thread .
