    Had a Focus merge onto the 202 this morning with no lights on. Little did I know that was a warning sign of things to come.

    Some miles later right before my exit, the truck in front of me suddenly moves over to reveal a Utility truck stopped dead in the middle lane with me approaching at 65. There was enough time and space for me to move over, and thankfully there was nobody immediately behind me.

    Turns out dipshit without his lights on had come to a complete stop in the lane for no apparent reason. Utility truck had been "trapped" behind his stupidity. Focus was just re-accelerating as I passed, honking in disapproval.

    He honked back.

    I think he might mean the tent sides are hard wall? Hard to tell from his picture. Unless the 4WC camper is canvas-wrapped hard walls.

    Otherwise OVRLND in Flagstaff also makes a similar design.

    Yes, he is talking about a HARD SIDED pop up.

    Like I mentioned there is no shortage of them out there, but he wants to look at Hiatus, its pretty much the same thing his brother is doing.

    It looks like his brother's unit might be wider on top for a wider bed, I like that and would be interested in learning more about it.

    A bit of a stretch to call that a hard side pop up with walls that thin IMO, but good luck to him I hope he sells a shit ton of them.

    I could see the benefit if it cuts down on wind noise canvas makes. But only as long as it isn't replaced with rattling...

    How can you tell the thickness of the walls from that picture?

    The short answer is I can't, but common sense would dictate that it's not very thick for weight purposes. I just have a different interpretation of what hard-sided means in a camper.

    What does hard sided mean to you?

    This is what I have for a definition of a hard-sided pop-up. It won't flap or move in the wind and has insulation.

    Or if you want an example of a hard-sided truck bed camper. The Alaskan campers fall into that category;

    The cab over Alaskan has three insulated walls on hinges for the cab over section, very solid build.

    In the picture on the website the awning seems to be longer than the roof, my thought would be mounting points are more important than length

    It's got straps to mount to the bumper and tow hooks. It's got to be on my wife's 2007 ho-runner

    Thought about that one that wrap's around but if we have the hatch open then it covers that section as well.
