Aahh, I didn't read any news on the issue, somebody told me yesterday about it and based on their take I assumed live ammo was at play. Makes sense

Yeah super regulated. Which is why it's so sad really.

Yeah it's only 30 days. But he can't bring it up with bob until then. Power trip ban for sure.

 

IMO the code of conduct rules require further definition if dickish comments, made privately by a member to a moderator, are a bannable offense.

 

That's what Ben was trying to get at with them. He has a pm with Lisa and Trex asking what exactly was bad and how it broke the code of conduct. He basically got told he was a dick and banned.

Agreed. Again, IMO, this recent behavior does not pass the reasonableness test. Way too authoritarian.

For those of us who have been here a while, we have witnessed way worse tolerated.

 

Oh hell yeah. Way way worse. Hell I had a thread on the government shutdown in 2015? And it stayed active for days.

 

I recall. Hot political topic for sure. But lets not confuse what has happened here. Ben was not banned because he posted a meme, political or otherwise.

And I was referring to some inappropriate "mod" behavior that I have witnessed.

 

yeah true. They were just trying poorly to hide behind "possible political topic" with ben. Which was BS.

 

Saw dune tonight in IMAX. Was freaking great.

I watched it on HBO when it came out, ima get the audio books when I can but I hope they make more movies.

 

Well..it was called part 1 so yes definitely will. Though idk if they will go past the first book or not

 

Seems like all movies are to loud. Or its just me. But its a huge part why I wont go see a movie in a theater anymore. Its just not enjoyable for me on the audio side of things. I either end up being uncomfortable with the noise or have to put ear plugs in which ruins things more. But that goes for a lot of louder places for me. Bars with music are another one i struggle with.

It was contracted as a two-part movie so im sure since its been getting good feedback (and $$$), WB will green light the second part for filming now.

 

As an audio guy I always have ear plugs with me especially at restaurants.

I just couldn't believe how loud it was. Like the calibration had to be off. I could never in my life mix that loud.

That said, standard theaters are usually okay for me. They can be loud but not literally earth shaking loud all the time. We usually go to the standard theater anyways. I didn't fully regret it as some of the sound design was just awesome to hear loud. When they used "the voice" was so cool. The music was way to loud at times though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had already started filming parts of it.

Pretty sweet looking truck. First one I've seen with a mechanical fan still. Thats cool. Looks like they trimmed the core support a bit to push the radiator out.

Also it being 2wd I cant imagine they were going for the "go fast over dirt as possible" vibe. So billies are fine haha

our boy kairo got permma banned for making a dup account to ask the mods why he got banned in the first place since he didnt see anything wrong, then they perma banned him for the dup account
eventually enough #freekairo and they let him back. freakin power trip for no reason for sure. public discourse be damned
