Short answer roughly 200# in bed.
I’m running a softtopper that weighs probably 60ish# I have a fridge in the back at all times that’s probably another 50# I have my kids ball equipment back there most of the time that’s probably another 30# and a Honda generator 2200i is usually back there that is around 45# so roughly let’s say 200# most of the time in the bed bc I’ve usually got a case of waters and some lawn chairs and air compressor my truck bed is now about an inch from the blue sumo springs. Before I got softtopper and didn’t carry so much back there I had about 2” from them. Ill likely be around an 1.5” lift in rear with new leafs. Currently I’m around .75-1” with current 5100s and deaver aal after it’s settled the last 3 years loaded. Initial lift got me right at 2.6” front and 2” rear 3 years ago when installed it with no extra weight

I might have missed it, but how are you getting your rear lift currently? I am very positive on the RXT leafs, but there's no sense in replacing something if you already have somewhat of a solution back there. A couple hundred pounds is nothing major. You might be okay with a progressive mini-pack back there to get your lift.

My current setup lift put on with 3,000 miles on the truck and running for the last 3 years is. Bilstein 5100 x 4 with 888 ome coil springs in front. 5100 standard length in rear with deaver AAL & the 500# blue sumo springs for bump stops. I currently have 100k on the 5100s and Deaver and have had zero issues whatsoever besides it’s settled and I’m looking for something a little better just because. I’ve purchased 6112 with 600# coils for front. Trying to decide whether to upgrade rear also or leave it alone. Been running Toyo OC AT3 255/80/17 for 55,000 miles but I’m also getting 255/80/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed next week whenever they arrive.

could I replace only my rear leaf in rear without doing shock upgrade or if I go to icon aal or rxt will I then have to get extended travel 5125 or 5160 & brake line extensions?

So we generally expect the lifetime of a shock like that 5100 to last ~50-60k so it sounds like you've gotten some solid survival out of them! So there's nothing that says you have to swap them out, but at 100k since you are upgrading the fronts I don't think it's a crazy idea to upgrade the rears as well. Or at the very least replace the shocks. How do your leafs look? Still have some arch or nice and flattened out?

Leafs still have a very little arch to them but nearly flattened out and yes I’ve been very happy with my 5100s they’ve been maintenance free and very durable with much improved ride and stability from the sport oems

I’m leaning 5125 extended travel shocks and icon aal leaf tbh rather than the 5160. I don’t feel I off road enough to need the reservoirs personally but my mind could be changed if I could figure out any other real benefits other than looking cool with the reservoirs attached

Okay so I don't want to just sell you something to sell you something, but it sounds like you could make use of a bit of an upgrade.

My recommendation based on what you're talking about would be a set of RXT leafs on Option 1 replacing your OEM pack and AAL altogether. You'll get the progressive performance and a refresh there. As for the rear shocks I would look hard at how you use the truck. If you really need the additional heat dissipation that the reservoir offers then the 5160 is a great shock. If you don't, I would recommend a 5125 to at least get the additional travel of the Icon RXTs. 5125s are essentially a longer 5100.

Sounds about exactly what I was thinking other than the aal getting the rxt.

Looks like I read your mind!

Shameless plug too, but I can get you all of these parts (including an AAL if that's what you're after). I have 5125s on hand, and just ran out of RXTs but I should have some more in a few weeks.

Am I going to need extended break lines if I do this to the rear? That’s been my biggest hold up tbh. I believe I’d rather do the AAL bc of cost at the moment. don’t really want to spend $600+ on leaf pack BUT it’d probably be worth it and makes me think I should save up a little more for that. I just paid premium price for nitto ridge grapplers on top of this suspension. Maybe I’ll get the shocks now and get leafs another time

So if you just get an AAL atop your stock pack you won't need new lines. If you get a new leaf pack (Deaver or Icon) you would be right up against the limit of the OEM lines since they are longer springs than OEM. @tonered has RXTs and 5125s and I'm pretty sure he didn't replace his lines! And I know for sure he found the maximum limits of his travel.

Exactly. The RXT Option 1 with the extended travel 5100s seems to be just perfect with the stock lines. Both mains and parking brakes. I checked max flex without the shock to be sure.

There are some pics somewhere that show the standard 5100 rears are the same length as the stockers. I think they were mainly setup with the 2nd Gen in mind for +1.0in of travel?

I've been flexed out on the trail a couple times since the full kit was in (go COVID!), and it works like a champ.

    Thank you!

You will enjoy the packs. The fact that they come with the full AAL kit is just killer.

Could somebody explain to me the order of washers and bushings go on the 5125? I was gonna just copy the 5100 but these have different washers and hardware. Like a dummy I threw the instructions somewhere and can’t find them. Thanks in advance @memario1214
