Ordered another set of Coopers today, that is the 3rd set Ive run. I think the current set I have, has around 52k miles on them, with wheeling I dont think I could ask for more. They got a bit squirrelly in the rain the last few days

At the bottom of petersmill, I was airing up my tires and watched a new jeep grand Cherokee with the "offroad" trimmings go up the trail, and before I left the area saw him exit the trail, angry as hell, spin out in on the road and left lol.

I've never seen someone get so mad at a trail before, let alone Peter's mill

Do you have any pictures of the CMC/plastic cuts near there? Hoping to mirror your cuts somewhat to keep these dang wheels from rubbing.

Yeah it’s not really the fender liner but the sheet metal looking stuff behind it. Do you remember cutting it/have any more recent pics of that area?

I dont have any pictures on hand, but I'll post some tommorow. I took the liner out, then bent the fold flat, then painted over it.

    Guess where I rub now?

Front upper fender behind the headlight lol

Ah that’s a good idea, I was grinding/cutting it but didn’t like leaving a somewhat sharp edge

You will probably need to flatten the pinch weld, to keep from cutting the tire. It’s ok if you rub the plastic a bit, but if you are making contact with the fender flare you may need to trim the whole fender, which will necessitate you removing the liner.

Yup, I also recommend if you are going to take out the fender liners, buy some new retaining clips because they will break when you take them out.

In order to take the liner out, you'll have to take off the flares, then the liners.

And OMG I used meguirs scratch x today on the lower portion of a white 2020 Tacoma door and i could see through the paint! Upon further inspection the paint is so thin on the gravel guard area you can see grey flecks through the paint. :pout:

Hey Dave! I doubt my customer is going to appreciate me telling him he should raptor line his truck. I doubt he’s going to appreciate me telling him anything at this point. I’d like Toyota to look at the door to see the gravel guard peeking through the paint but I think I’m just going to have to get it painted. It was here for me to fix the roof and he asked if I could touch up a scratch on the door, and now it needs raptor lined.
