Feels like Deja Vu , but I remember we had spoken about this

Here's the axle he's talking about - SUA ruff stuff perches are welded on there and set up for an extended cab or double cab pinion angle for H70's / E30's welded by @Anthony250 taken from measurements off of his truck :notsure:

At this point all that's needed are u bolts and a pair of u bolt plates. I recommend DMZ or Ruff Stuff (I had DMZ but went with RS due to bigger u-bolts). Deaver sells U-bolts but I sold him the U-bolts Deaver gave me with my springs with the axle and they had 0 miles, just a bit of surface rust that any u bolts will get if they're not painted and will come off with a wire wheel easily.

I’ll just get a plate and reuse the ubolts you tossed me with the axle.

Dreams do come true. I can’t wait for my first trip with this setup, happening this weekend.

I think the axle is larger in diameter for the tundra axle, as well as the springs are narrower for the Tacoma leaves vs a full-size truck.

Also, does anyone have any desert trips planned for Halloween weekend?

I was in Ocotillo last year and it really wasn't too bad as far as crowds -- not sure if my small group from then is thinking of a desert trip again or what, yet.

I believe he is using a first gen tundra axle; not the 10.5".

Any reason why I couldn’t put uca double shear gussets on a stock length front suspension?
Like any differences in ucas in LT kits if i were to go that route ?

You could use them for any UCA's if you base your installation off of the arms. Sometimes from one brand to another a slight difference in overall width will make you either have to fill in a gap, grind, or add a little filler here or there. Some brands won't fit once you put the gussets in so I would definitely figure out the long term goal. I've cut one set out and it's kind of a pita.

No reason you couldn’t do that.

Plan is +2 at some point but not looking to spend 6k$+ just yet. Wanted to do the lca pivot next and just trying to find a good order of tackling some things while the suspension was of. Probably put this off for now thanks

Right on. If i go lt itll be their 2.25. Otherwise it will be their arms to match the pivots so makes sense

can definitely attest it is a pita… switching from different companies lt kits and the new one was like 1/4” wider on the uca’s so had to cut them out completely and start over.

Hey question for anyone with cages, what’s your general rule of thumb for wearing helmets? Tried asking in the jd fab thread and got no where.

If I'm in a vehicle with a cage I wear one. Mostly because it seems like the vehicles with cages I've been in there are tubes within head shot range.

Out here we do not wear helmets unless we are at dirtfest were it is required. We definitely run our trucks pretty hard. Is that the smartest way to be, maybe not but that is what we do.
