Have you checked here? Exact numbers on the TuRD gen.
2nd gen Rear shock options WITH lengths | Tacoma World

You won't need to extend brake lines for anything under 2" lifts. Stock is sufficient at front and back.

I am on my 3rd set I think now :anonymous: (and 4th set at the back) still original pins and shims.
I usually pull my pads, pins and shims few times a year to clean and lubricate all the components along with checking how calipers are doing.
I recommend as well install another metal spring at the top, same style that you have at the bottom. Helps with even load.

Good idea to check or service your front brakes a few times a year. And while you've the got the wheel off take a look at the lower bearing on your Elkas.

Hopefully the new revision seals the bearing better than the old rev. With all the mud and water hat lower bearing sees a frequent inspection wouldn't hurt. It didn't take too long to get them back.

Full rebuild there :spending: New shafts, new shock eyelets, new bearings and spacers, full recharge, guess I am keeping them for another few years.

You can get stocks to work with a 2” lift but i don't recommend it.(*edit i missed the 3rd gen part so unconfirmed)

You wont need extended break lines for the front unless your doing an LT kit

$600 for parts and labor to fix current ones plus $110 in shipping and taxes on top. :rain: If the problem was caught earlier total replacement cost would've been $80 in parts plus couple beers, check your bearings if you got fancy shocks

Pretty neat build. The pelican boxes that slide out of the back are cool. Not sure how they would hold up with mud and stuff though.

the pop up roof design is super slick though. Really nicely done for a diy.

The thing is that they spent thousands patenting a retractable exhaust and will probably sell it as a $500 option

$500 option for a $100 part only used when risking $1000’s of damage

    logic:tinfoilhat:

Not to mention it will probably corrode and be useless in less than 4 years

Yes, electric motor and small rack-&-pinion mechanism mounted directly to a hot exhaust tip that may be dragged through water and mud. Let's see how long that lasts past warranty. Maybe it'll take attention away from Ford's vacuum front hubs or Toyota's ADD actuators.
