Has anyone been removing their front bumper or just the lower plastic? I’ve seen threads on here from 2013 but haven’t seen any recently. Is it still cool or will I look like a fool? Haha

I had something similar for few years. It worked for me. I did have to re route the turn signal harness.

I wouldnt want to give up the fogs. If you like the minimalist look, maybe a tube bumper would be a good option

ive thought of this myself, but feel there needs to be additional skid added to fill the gap from crash bar up to top of bumper; or otherwise. (maybe some lights?) Interested to see ideas

Oh dang i always thought those were fogs. Where would OP put the turn signals if he ditched the lower section of the bumper? Looks like it may be more trouble than it's worth

usually people resort to using a step-bit and throw them in the side marker housing with the running lights. Seal em up with silicone and gtg. I thought the same when i bought my truck, even tho i drive it :rofl:

I removed my lower valance, and honestly I was disgusted enough with the look that I went out and bought a CBI bumper kit.

    :puke:

    There, that's better.

I rerouted the turn signals to the side markers (in addition to the LEDs included with the CBI kit)

See my above post. It's not hard, just a few minutes with a dremel and some epoxy.

I had one partially off for a while, surface rust got to the crash bar and it looked pretty crappy

I found a pair of housings at my local Jeep accessory shop for $15. Cut out the rears and siliconed them in. I do like the side marker mod though.

I definitely love the look of the tube bumpers and want one eventually. But I need to save up the cash to do so. I was just thinking of a simple solution haha. And to settle the debate, I actually turned my blinkers in to fogs as well so now we can all be friends:rofl:

I’ve also seen some people install this jeep bumper. It’s a cheep option but I can’t decide if I wanna pull the trigger
