Could be, I’ve got 4.30 gears in the back. I noticed that on the test drive right away.

This Atkinson cycle is useless IMHO. Not sure what they were trying to achieve but my truck “feels” like it has about 30% more power at lower rpms and the best thing is I get the same or better MPGs as stock, go figure. Mind you, I had no real complaints on stock tune, damn TW!!!

For some reason I always thought LS500 is a 5.0… Learned something new today. But yeah, that 3.4 TT would be sweet in the tundra, very curious about the MPG numbers.

You might be onto something with the “chest pounding V8 noise”. Have you heard 3.5TT Raptor? Sounds like a Hoover vacuum cleaner. Taco, even with the shittiest Mbrp exhaust will sound better.

Don’t get me wrong, all this the power on the 3.4 TT is amazing, but we will all miss that nice V8 rumble, there is no comparison. Well except for the MPGs, haha.

The V8 in the LS was axed a few years ago. The 3.5 TT took it's place. That particular engine is a beast. It generates 442 ft lbs of torque at just 1600 rpm. Couple that with AWD and that thing just squats and lauches. Very impressive for such a huge car. Had an opportunity to drive one as well as many other vehicles....as I have a friend who is an engineer for the Big T

As has already been addressed, it comes down to traction. It's the same reason you see F150's lose despite having more torque and HP than the truck it is towing against. The F150 is much lighter and thus, has less traction.

"2017 has a tune and is running 33 inch tires" Both hooked to the bumper (?) then, the 2017 will be pulling from a higher point, lifting the weight off the rear of the stock truck while increasing the weight on the 2017 rear.
