Once you poke through the grommet once you’ll get over it lol. The only annoying part I see is fishing it through the door bundle. Im going to follow the advice of @caribe makaira and tie mine into the ECU and stay in the cab. That way it’ll dim and bright when it’s supposed to.

I told him to go down a trail but he went down the wrong "trail" and caused some carnage to his rig. I call that trail Reddeadtaco Trail lol.

Greengen was a bit shocked when I told him you took your new rig on those trails that I took him on yesterday.

Mornin, all! I got 1.5 sliders I stalled yesterday. I started around 2pm, working solo, and had to stop around 5 because a buddy came over to help me unf**k some electrical work the previous home owner did that was over my head. By the time we were done that, it was about 9 and I couldn't continue the install without hammering and pounding, and I'm not going to be that neighbor at 9pm! Going to finish this afternoon.

For anyone that installed Mobtown sliders, did anyone else find the instructions not that great?

I did both types of 3rd Gen Tacoma bolt on models. What part has you stumped John? I could have helped in person too ya know.

I appreciate the offer Rob, it was more of a spur of the moment thing. A "Hey, my foot's feeling well enough and I'm cleaning the garage a little and it would sure be nice to get those out of here and on my truck" if that makes sense.

The biggest thing that got me with the instructions was calling all the nuts bolts, and calling all the bolts nuts, so when I'm trying to find the rectangular washer with the nutt welded on, I'm cometely passing over the rectangular washer with the bolt welded on. Other wise, the OEM metal bracket on the driver's side, which attaches on the outer side of the frame and routes the wiring harness over the frame rail, I had removed the hardware for it, but I can't find anything in the instructions about rerouting it, tossing it, or reinstalling it.

Install was also a bit tough with the long-handled welded bolts in the frame because I had already had the frame rust TSB done, so there was a LOT of goop, and those two plastic panels to contend with. I'm still trying to figure out how to hold the nut on the inside of the frame so I can tighten the bolt that holds that plastic panel in place lol.

It sounds like these are the angled, bolt on sliders, and if memory serves, I do remember either a component not going back on like OEM or going back on in a different way. I think their website may have had some info regarding this at one time. We could easily find out.

I'm not sure what plastic piece you are referring to but I used a shop rag and jammed it in the frame rail there behind that long flat bar with the BOLT welded to it. Once I was done I just dug it out with a pair a long needle nose. You could probably put a coat hanger in there first and just pull it out that way. The hardest part for me were the weird clamp style nut/bolt things.

Try the rag thing. Glad to hear the foot is better enough for all this too!
