I think the Inspiration4 mission’s lesser known contribution to the advancement of more common spaceflights was their sacrifice in discovering the malfunctioning urine disposal system in the Crew Dragon.

These folks are going to be the immediate beneficiaries:

And I'm seriously considering applying once they open up. They may or may not be visiting my current employer's facility next week:spy:, so I may or may not end up making parts for them again either way!

System worked, just had a leak which caused liquid deposition in interstitial spaces.

Also... does this mean that I4 get their FAA astronaut wings nao?

    Not sure what ‘nao’ means…

It ‘worked’ but not 100%. Enough of a concern that Crew 2 had to check out Endeavor for corrosion. Reports are the incident didn’t rise to Apollo 10 levels of horror

Can’t remember the source but I read somewhere SpaceX screwed them over by listing the I4 crew as Spaceflight participant in the application for the flight.

I think, considering the amount of training and responsibilities during the flight, 3 out of 4 of them warranted the FAA wings. (Sorry Chris, nothing personal :D)

    'now' :p

Yup. Good catch, they found the same problem in Crew 2.

I love that this is how they do it. They're not designing some fancy vehicle to insure the engines never tip more than 0.0001degrees. instead they're being realistic and saying "these things will soon be burning 2,000lbs of fuel a second and traveling 500 times faster and with more vibration than this truck and trailer will ever subject them to".

Though I was pretty smart when it came to Apollo but I don't know what you're referring to. Help?
