Production has started on all fronts I think. I know my harness factory is hard at work, at least. I’m getting a sample light to approve from VLEDS this week or next, but I think most other parts of their portion are also in production. If I had to guess (just a guess) I’d say retailers will do promotional vids and pre-orders around TG and they’d be here before Christmas. Just about every major retailer is either going to — or intends to — carry the kits

 

We'll have to watch retailers for the release date? Any possibility of a heads-up with a list of suppliers to help those of us who might have missed a notice or even a method for direct purchases? May be a stretch but I'm a little older and don't spend a lot of time comparing web sites for a purchase. I know what I want and prefer to go directly to the source.

I can make a list of retailers after we have finished collecting deposits from them. However, once I get samples in their hands and they pay the deposit it’s up to them when they want to “release” them per se — they could drop a pre-order and do promo whenever (it’s their business). I expect it’ll be like the hunger games but they’ll be competing for your credit card info. All I will have optics on is the design and actual ship date.

 

I like the way these look...

 

After thinking about this mod, count me in for a set of the blue ones..

An update / teaser!

I got a prototype for an aqua blue today! It is a very close match to Toyota blue, but still slightly lighter blue. What we plan to do is run with this color for launch and then continue to develop something more custom to match the Toyota blue as obnoxiously close as possible. The second version will come later as it’s going to take some time. I’m very OCD and honestly even I don’t see too much improvement being necessary from our starting point, but still we figure we’d give it more effort on the backend.

I can’t share pictures of the actual light itself, but here’s some output shots. Note the light is off center because the prototype doesn’t actually have backing. I just wedged it in my footwell however I could.
