Modified tundra steering rack

I have decided I am going a different route with steering upgrades. This is a modified, used OEM tundra steering rack that has been modified for install into a Tacoma. You can read all up on this rack here & see some YouTube videos of Travis and his Dad doing some really slick machine work.

this comes with new mounting bungs/barrels and grade 8 mounting bolts also. I am located in phoenix AZ

interested in what other route you are planning on taking? I have been on the fence with this mod. seems like there is alot of other things/variables to get this Tundra rack in.

 

Currently undecided. I am considering the jd fab slide rack and or the jd fab Howe tc pump setup. Not 100% sure set on either of those though. I also don’t have the time to get this fabbed in and I don’t want to just sit on it for a while.

 

This is where I'm at too. otherwise I'd snag it from you. Gonna hold out for the JD/Howe setup.

 

For those worried or concerned. Here are some pics showing a FACTORY TACOMA MOOG INNER TIE ROD screwed into tundra rack, with TUNDRA boot. There is obviously a nice steering rack lip to hold the inboard boot nice and snug, but you will need to hose clamp the outboard boat to the Tacoma tire rod, no problem, a great solution to boots on this rack

TO BE CLEAR - I am not attempting to make money on Travis and his fathers hard work with the creation of this modified rack. FULL TRANSPARENCY I paid $1350 to Travis for this rack and I am looking for $1350 OBO for it. I just wanted to put that out there because I know in the EARLY posts on his threads he was only charging $1000 IIRC for this rack years ago.
