I’m getting alignment down tomorrow after installing Bilstein 6112 and 5125. What are specs I should ask for I have a tech em who says he can do whatever the oem UCAs will allow. 255/80/17 Tires on oem sport wheels. Just looking for a good alignment numbers to shoot for. Thanks

I'm getting the same size tires next week and have 2 inch lift all around. Curios too

Yes it’s about 2.5 in front and 2” rear after new setup installed. I’ve read that you don’t want oem specs for lifted truck

I like to run 0 toe, 0 camber 4* caster. Everyone is a bit different. I’d run at least 3 caster and I’ve run .5 positive toe and camber at times.

Thanks! What benefits does this give with a lifted truck?

The higher caster will make the steering tighter and move responsive and helps with the return to center.

Looks like 1.9 degree is as much as he could do for caster which is an improvement from the 1.4 the other shop had it set at

I believe this is about as good as it can be without aftermarket UCAs with my 2.5” fron lift and 2” rear lift. I waited and these guys test drove my truck 4 different times to get it as good as possible. They spent a good hour and 20 minutes on it and I must admit before alignment today driving around on new setup I wasn’t very impressed with 6112 upgrade from 5100s but now I definitely tell the difference in ride handling and taking on bumps super smoothly. My alignment was way out of whack after lift installed

Looks good. Get ucas when you can. If you thinks it’s good now wait till you drive with 3+ caster. Also I’m glad they took the time to do their best.

I’m getting new tires Nitto Ridge Grapplers 255/80/17 tomorrow and they are going to realign it free of charge after mount balanced and installed. I know I could’ve waited until then for the actual alignment byt I didn’t want to drive it another day with alignment knocked so bad out of whack

Thanks yes sir I think it’s about as good as I’ve had it currently. Tomorrow should get even better after tires! It’s a new shop under new ownership and they’re trying to make a name for themselves. Very impressed with them today

Also something I’ve noticed is the bilstein spring that same with my 6112 rated for 600# are softer than the ome 888s that I just took off from my truck worh 5100s rated at 590#. I guess different spring rates?? The bilstein 600# is much softer than the ome 888 springs and I kinda like it tbh but takes some getting used to

Is it possible to get 3* caster with stock UCAs?

The valving of the 6112 is superior to the 5100 so that probably helps as well. I believe Bilstein manufactured the 5100s to be ran with stock springs, although most run aftermarket.

Was just surprised bc ome is rated for 10# less. Was expecting a stiffer feel from the bilstein being the higher spring rate. Kind of odd. Bilstein spring I can fit a finger between coils also noticed and I couldn’t with ome 888s

Not with the lift kit installed. The factory specs are 1.4-2.9. W/O the lift I’ve seen it done. Once you lift these truck you’ll usually be on the low side.

I did pull the trigger on some JBA UCAs to get better alignment numbers over the weekend. Took on a long 4 hour trip through the mountains and although I can tell a big difference in the ride with new 6112 and 5125 setup with brand new Nitto Ridge Grapplers 255/80/17 it just made me wonder how much better it could be with UCAs since these were such an improvement over 5100 setup
