I have my fronts set at the 3/4 clip but also have 1/2” spacers on both sides. For some reason I didn’t get the lift up front I should have when it was just stock and I didn’t want to bump the preload by going up an additional notch. I’m on the 600# springs and even when I added the bumper I only lost 1/8” of lift up front. I don’t feel I need the 650# springs but I didn’t go full bumper and I didn’t add a winch either.

Update: Shortly after posting this, a coworker walked by and said "Hey, did I cut you off this morning? Sorry about that."
When he saw my confused look he added "I had to merge in at the last second in front of a gray tacoma, that wasn't you?"
I told him "No, there were a bunch of us out this morning."

As you space the wheel out (reducing offset number closer/further into the negatives) your tire moves away from the control arms, but closer to the cab mount. It's a fine balance of getting just enough space to never touch the UCA, but not so little offset that you hit the cab mount.

cool good to know it didn't drop down too much with the bumper... the full plate weighs a bit more but nothing too crazy. I don't have any spacers but am on 5/4, got a nice lift to start when I installed in Feb 2020 but it has settled quite a bit without any weight. The preload definitely felt a bit harsh right after install but it really has softened up a bit. Might have to drop down a clip when I put the 650s in.

He absolutely rubs…you cannot run 33s on stock suspension without rubbing.

That's what I thought, so didn't know if he had some magic trick or just doesn't care

Zero rub even fully tucked thanks to basic CMC.

Without a CMC it would've rubbed, but no it doesn't even fully tucked off road. :)

I just ordered a 2022 model of the exact same truck, delivery expected mid-January. Nice to see a picture of it. January can’t come soon enough!

Yeah my bad, didn't see which thread I was in when browsing around. Thought I was in the general what did you do to your 3rd gen today thread.

Swapped wheels to RRW RR-6 Hybrids w/ -25 offset. Black with mgm just looks so much better than bronze.

Got a last wash, wax, and ceramic coat in before the PNW weather really sets in.
