The 2021 Lexus LS500 F Sport 3.5L Twin Turbo is 416 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Is it the same 3.5L Tacoma engine?

Negative. I think it’s the same one that’s going into the tundra though.

The motor in the LS500 and Tundra is actually a 3.4L. Toyota just calls it 3.5 because it sounds better.

The 3.5 TT was introduced a few years back in the LS500. There is a strengthened version going into the new Tundra/Sequoia as well as a hybrid booster option for even more torque.

    This is all old news

The Tacoma will not get this engine....ever.

Expect a turbo 4 in the future for the Taco though

Yes it has.... debuting in the LS.

All NA 2GRs displace 3456 cc or 3.456 liters. That rounded up to 3.5 liters.

The TT uses a very similar 60° block but with thicker cylinder walls...which reduces the bore from 94mm to 85.5mm. It makes up some of that lost displacement with a longer stroke (100mm vs 83mm)....but officially displaces 3444 cc = 3.444 liters. It's probably just easier for Toyota to say 3.5 because that's been the 2GRs displacement since 2004.
