We were there off of Walters rd, last set of houses near the back gate. 87-99. They built like 3000 new homes since in the area by the “Tree” house. My folks moved out to Rio Vista.. Those big planes looked like flying whales in slow motion in the sky. Don’t miss my neighbors’ boyfriend doing intentional flybys because he was dating my best friends sister.. remember my house getting hit by seven sonic boom’s one day when I was sick home alone as a kid, scared the crap out of me. Small world. Now I’m in Michigan with a Tacoma staying on topic lol.

Looking to get a soft top topper for a 2nd gen long bed. Any suggestions on brand given the Michigan climate?

Also, if y’all see one posted for sale, please send it my way. Located around the Ann Arbor area.

I have the Soft Topper version on my Tundra. I think it's 5 years old and spends most of its time outside. If it fails today, I'll have a new one ordered by sundown.

Will likely order one new if one doesn’t pop up in the next week.

    - Bestop super top (have ability to get $100 off through a friend)

    - Soft topper (like the different color options and ease of use from reviews)

    - FasTop by Radco(?) found this one in Iowa. They have a version that includes soft topper and roll up tonneau that can be installed and used interchangeably

    all around same price points.

I hope they put that away before the snow flies. They really like their road salt down there.

@RCI-Offroad are usually pretty good about answering customer questions, most of their offerings do fit both third and second gen trucks. I know the front bumpers are different

Rattle canned the undercarriage with wool wax.. you guys spooked me. Not a fun experience, but now I have peace of mind. Can’t spell fun without F U. Told my wife we are only driving the 14 y/o Corolla in the snow and she didn’t like that idea.

@RCI-Offroad Your rear bumper, do you have any photos of it on a second gen?

@RCI-Offroad Thank you!! Does this encompass the existing tow hitch or is that removed to install this bumper? Thanks again!

The hitch is part of the bumper and actually raises the height roughly 4 in for the drop ball. Very sturdy and very well done, I've used my RCI bumper to tow quite a few small and medium trailers as the need has a rose. Highly recommend

The existing hitch is removed in favor of the new hitch behind the license plate bracket.
