Is the KD-MAX that much better than OV 2.0?

 

Nope.

 

To some. A lot of the rave reviews come from people that were stock to start with. I know of several that have gone back to OV 2.0. I'm not going to say anything specific or negative about that tune, but I do not agree with their tuning methods.

 

Pro-Tuner congrats! any news on a new OVTUNE 1.3 release or that other custom one you mentioned? I'll be waiting for that for my re-tune.

 

1.3 is released, but no "ultimate" tunes yet unfortunately. I will definitely post here as soon as they are available.

 

Any chance you do the Coyoza tune, or know anyone who does in CT?

I'm hearing that's the way to go with manual transmissions so now I'm not sure which tune to go with.

 

I do not, but my personal tune has a lot of the same modifications to it. The standard OVTune 2.0 files are already much better, but I have removed all throttle limiting and made the throttle a bit more linear. It is a little twitchy at low speed in 1st -2nd, but once your right foot re-learns a bit it is pretty good.

 

Any KD-MAX tuning going down in northeast Ohio ?

Well, I'm sorry you haven't gotten a response but I don't do KD tunes, and this thread is in the Northeast section of the forum and clearly labeled CT, MA, and RI.

I can do tuning by mail if you want to send me your ECU. If you want KD, find someone on their map near you.
