That's not a bad thing..

Good morning everyone! This weather is gonna be a bad one today and tomorrow... someone let in a storm that is going to cause coastal flooding
(+ 2-4 ft) that hasn't been seen in 20 years ( 20 year storm ??). I'm not anywhere near water but the wind and rain is pretty intense. This mornings objective is to get the Russo woodstove back together so that I can makes a farh later on this evening. I had to remove the combustor ( cat ) because it was crumbled, I can't spend the $300 for a new one so this year it runs cat-less. I needed to replace the site glass gasket which no longer is available, so after some head scratching I found some Mr. Gasket high tempt exhaust gasket material in sheet form. Yup, A trip to a shop that builds pro-gas and alcohol dragsters provided me with some material to fix a 35 year old woodstove! I love it when a plan comes together...

Afternoon. niteshift. feel like a dog. took the wife Christmas shopping. ughh. my idea of shopping,sitting in the jeep with 3 magazines,cell phone,mt. dew and classic rock on the radio.I pride myself for not being in a mall for years. lol

OT cancelled tonite for of all things. lack of pressroom people. web feed offset presses are huge. lots to maintain. so there is always one or two down for maintenance,call ins put 4 more down. we caught the pressroom. and the rut is starting to show here Dan. seeing yearlings with no doe and bucks travelling.saw 3 bucks coming home the other morning.

 

Another great way to shop is sit in the recliner and watch for the UPS guy That will keep you busy too.

I love that I get ping’d every now and again and reminds me to stop in and see how everyone is!

life here at the canyon is… well… Grand! I am soooo loving living here! Morning walks to magnificent views. Elk in the yard. Deer, javalina, ravens and ring tails. Had our first snow a couple weeks ago. Friends keep visiting from all over. Even from TW! Have a permit for my second R2R2R at the end of November. The stars here are amazing!

Hope everyone is still doing well. I did a quick scan of the 10k new posts, damn y’all are funny! Kids, grands, pets, all looking good!
