Haven’t been out riding a couple of weeks. We had a few days of snow, then my knee started acting up. Thought I’d give it some rest.
Went out on the Decoy yesterday, and thankful for the assist to be able to get a solid ride in.

I just put the tailgate pad on my truck for the first time today and noticed that the fork stanchion leans pretty hard into the ridge near the top of the tailgate. Does that get pretty scuffed up over time? I'm wondering if I should try putting some paint protection film across it now while the truck is new, or just accept that it's not going to stay brand new forever.

    Update:

    a) I got a sack of replacement generic screw in valve portions. Oh hell yes. Issue cured. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07VFN82YR?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
    b) This chuck threads into one of my cheapie blower heads (see review pics) Absolutely works great: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00UP1GBR0?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
    c) Must still find a good gauge.

Always take your lights and a battery for a shakedown ride the before Daylight Savings Time change. Gloworm system for the win.

Always buy the best bike tools you can afford. I should've used my Wera Torx set on this bolt head. Instead, I used a cheap Home Depot set and the tip broke off in the head. Luckily, I was able to just tap broken tip off and remove bolt using the Wera.

I’ll second this - have had it for a few months and it’s consistent, and seems consistent with the gage on my floor pump. I also think it’s pretty easy to use. Some of the reviews state it doesn’t work well, but if you get on on straight and push down quick, I get a reading and really no lost air at all.

Close. It's on VMT. I was surprised that Blankets was open with all the rain recently so did a quickie. The toe still hurts but getting marginally better. Getting old sucks so much.
