Can relate to the fantasy sports comparison, I was in one at work before I just had enough of that type of thing plus chasing people to pay. Always said I should have joined a league full of teenage girls since there would probably have been much less drama and crying

 

I spelled out Alaska because people seeing AK and trying to send to Arkansas (AR) is a common occurrence

I feel very fortunate that we are now in year 8 of our Dynasty league. We've weeded all of those people out by now

 

I swear it was that one group. I've been in plenty of other leagues football and baseball, only two other people rubbed me the wrong way mostly with sending out ridiculous trades..to the point I called one out publicly. It happens..

 

Grade school was tough on too many people.

@Sandman614 , @emelianenkov , and @Daria : you guys are doing an awesome job deflecting the complainers! I, too, am currently hosting (by myself) a SS with L.O.T. and am loving the spirit the members have.

I participated in TWSS back in 2016 and had a blast! I seriously had to dig for my giftee's likes/wants since he didn't post much that I felt I could work with. I ended up figuring out & contacting his wife via Facebook to get some ideas of what he/they wanted or were into. And I made a few new friends because of it! I'm now back on TW after several years of health & work issues and plan on getting as involved as I was back then. Hopefully next year I can participate . I look forward to seeing what everyone receives here this year! Now... time to get back on the threads! Good luck!

Posting just to hit the threshold is not the way to be. We want this to be for active members in the community to enjoy. Hitting the number just to hit the number isn't how this works.

Likely, this is where the threshold will stay. We keep increasing it because every year we get people who hop on the list and give their Santa absolutely nothing to go off of. Not every scenario is like this, but it makes being a Santa extremely difficult. I've had a few Low Post Larry's over the years and its so unbelievably frustrating.
