I bought just the TRD shocks. You can also buy just the grille separately (OEM black one with the camera mount). You wouldn’t have the 1 year warranty, but you’d have about $1900 in your pocket.

I went through these guys as they usually have good pricing. Punch the part numbers on any Toyota parts vendor to get your best deal. I also went with a Toytec 1” rear block to match what the OEM “kit” would be

I wouldn't pay a dealer to install it. If you don't have the tools for the lift you can at least do the grill and sensor to cut labor. I had the same thought process as you since I knew I was going to shell and add on a warranty. 3) From what I have found the answer is no. Toyota won't recalibrate or troubleshoot TSS issues on aftermarket kits. That made my decision and I'm installing tomorrow morning. If I have a TSS issue I'm just going to take it to a dealer and ask them to fix it.

exactly… same reason I bought only the shocks and did an AAL myself. If you go that route, it’s very affordable and IMO has been a definite improvement over the stock OR suspension.

The labor price seems to have gone up. Beaver Toyota is telling me $2700 before tax ... just now. Lift only. Atlanta Toyota is saying $3K.

    Did BeaverT delete your fogs?

Totally agree, rides much better than with the stock off-road bilsteins

Exactly my thought. You get a “new” TSS sensor (nothing wrong with the way mine works), their 1” block for the rear, a $15 brake line relocation adapter (lowers by an inch which doesn’t appear necessary), their new grille (which I linked below, can be bought for $132)…….. I’m very happy with my $500 version (that’s after buying the Toytec rear 1”block)

I didn’t buy that, I wanted the silver lettering not the black so I bought an aftermarket version but used an own garnish. That oem grill does not come with a garnish

Oh boy, I'm more confused then ever... But I'm still leaning towards getting it. The issue is, the dealer has no clue about anything on this kit ... So a simple question like "am I able to but the same shocks when these die" they were like :notsure:

I don't even know how long these shocks will last, or what the alternative would be for them...

You 100% can buy just the shocks. I did. I’ve learned most (not all) parts department guys have zero knowledge of anything other than what the computer tells them is standard.
