    Father in Law's BDay dinner, the man has a few hundred sticks in his humidor, plus a detached cabana that he converted to his lounge. So when he asked me to pickup a stick I knew I needed to step up my game.

    Did you season it first? Even if you didn’t, I’d suspect all that humidification should bring the humidity up to where it should be. I have two of either very similar, or the same humidors and they hold the humidity well. If the humidor is stuffed full of cigars, two pucks handle it well.

    Maybe you just got a shitty made example of a humidor? A couple of the negative reviews mention a cheap cardboard bottom with a thin cedar veneer over it. So even if you have a good seal of the lid, take a look at the bottom.

    I did once have another glass top humidor that the lid’s failure to seal properly gave me fits. I don’t have that one anymore.

    Take the hygrometer into a steamy shower with you but not directly under the water stream, and after a short while it should read 100%. If it doesn’t, turn the set screw on the back and manually set it to 100%. Done.
