    Trying something different.

Gathered acorns. Dehydrated them and then ground them up. Gonna spread that around the feeders. 20211025_172204.jpg 20211026_174659.jpg 20211027_193130.jpg

I have another bag of acorns for that. My tought process was to treat the acorns like a spice. By grinding them up, more aroma comes out and hopefully attract more deer. Then leave the tasty acorn morsels for the deer to eat.

Of course he’s in a gun free zone aka my work plant site. Had him a girly friend he was keeping a close eye on. Bottom left of second picture

Had 2 good deer in the same spot last year. Not sure if this one is one of them or not. He didn’t give me any other pictures. This is the first time I’ve seen him this season.

Had a doe and 2 yearling jog across the field about 30 mins after we sat down, I assume that coyote could have bumped them up; they weren't full speed and flags weren't up but they were moving pretty quick and whistles had no effect. And a little after 5 a bobcat cut across the road, we had a party to go to so we didn't stay quite till dark, but I did wanna check a salt like I made on that Field and when we got over there we saw another coyote in the back corner about 150 yards out. A poor attempt of combined effort for getting her steady and the gun while using my knee as a seat and while helping her steady the gun, I flipped the safety back on and said it wasn't gonna work... Got another youth hunt in 2 weeks on the home property so hopefully we will get to sling some lead then
