NG is the primary feedstock for plastics (they're starting up a plant near Pittsburgh to take advantage of the Burgess Shale NG)
It's used in industry and home heating.
Supply is tightening up.
Natural gas prices are skyrocketing in Europe and US LNG suppliers are ramping up their shipments.
We're already seeing price rises here for natural gas and propane, and it's not just inflation.
If we get a hard Winter...

If you're gonna refine crude oil, you're gonna get gasoline.
And oil will be refined for lubricants, diesel, maritime fuel oil, home heating oil, tar, kerosene, paraffin, etc, etc.
Cracking a light sweet crude like WTI (West Texas Intermediate) will yield over 20% gasoline, regardless.
What are you gonna do with it?
Before gasoline engines became viable at the turn of the last century, gasoline was essentially a waste product.
