I would say a Towing 1986 Toyota4x4 From Central Upstate New York on a Tow Dolly no idea what the weight was about 200 miles .

I would Guess about 3000 pounds plus the Toy dolly

It was a long day!

I did move a loaded 20' dump trailer about 100 yards I had to be careful not to lift the front end

 

25 foot Rinker Fiesta Vee 250 on a trailer.

Well broke down and turned the furnace on. Although NG now these days is cheap. Spent $10 on a filter ! When did these things get so expensive, and this was middle of the filtration road.

 

Hit the nail on the head. I can’t see how our trucks can tow 6500 safely, or maybe I just don’t have large enough stones to do so.

 

I hear ya. On the flats in Ohio at about 65 or 70 I was able to hold overdrive but some up and down grades had to hold 4th.

 

Saw this in the news, what the heck is a low level traffic violation? It's going to be the wild wild west soon. Why follow the law now... Is there going to be more accidents cause tail lights are out , will this make insurance rates increase ?

 

Don`t forget the 3rd Generations have a much higher Towing Capacity then the 1st generations

Accompanied my Dad & drove down last Thursday night. Left Bucks at 8pm and got to Englewood Fl at 3:15pm Friday.

It’s my first time getting to my sisters place since she retired down here about two and a half years ago.

I fly back Monday

Shifting gears here thinking about Florida The last trip coming home . Wow I think might have been 1989 .

I 95 to I 26 to I 77 to I 81 to I 78 .

The only bigger cities are Columbia SC and Charlotte NC going through Columbia after 2100 and Charlotte a few hours later was worth the extra miles to avoid the Washington and Baltimore Mess and just all the traffic on I 95

 

Oh the I95 corridor.

 

Even 30 years ago it sucked !

The only reason I would go to Florida was I was doing Warranty repair for Mack Trucks

Funny How over loading and bouncing over curbs could tear up cabs

Because it was a very large Customer who bought very many Mack Trucks it was fixed under warranty .

Now with all the high tech Cameras enough evidence would be collected to deny the claim .
