Finally got around to replacing the clutch in the Matrix. Glad I did it and saved $1000. It was easier than I thought it would be.

 

Finally! Does it drive after? Or do you have a red paperweight now?

FYI, my civic is still going great. I have literally done nothing to it. But im thinking it will need brake pads soon. Might replace the rubber lines in the front too... it is 20 years old

 

Red paperweight on jack stands. Apparently nobody local sells GL-4 gear lube. Should have Redline MT-90 Thursday so I can fill her up and take her for a test drive. I shifted through all the gears and everything appears to be working.

 

It was over a year ago I rode and that thing and you said you were going to fix that.

And look at that sad 200 parked in the corner.

 

I had the company van all of last year that I was able to drive home, I think I only drove the matrix 2k miles. New job doesn’t let me take the van home so I get to drive the red rocket now. Going to see if I can double my money selling the Pilot.
Actually rode the 200 around the yard 2 weeks ago. It fired right up.

@w.adventures i just remembered that i might need brakes on my civic in the spring. Looked up some pricing on RockAuto, and i can get front pads and rotors for $47 + shipping
Ill check around on Amazon too. It just made me laugh that almost everything for this car is under $50

 

Cleaned the headlights today. They are still trashed from the Florida sun but a lot better than what they were. Matrix turned out a lot better

 

What did you use?

 

Hit the trail today and a rock hit back. Drives just a little weird down the road. Ordered up some OPT offroad upper and lower control arms so this hopefully doesn’t happen again. While I was at it I ordered some Eimkeith link mount reinforcements and their panhard correction kit.

 

Ooooooof that’s a hit. Yay new parts though

Turns out the Opt offroad control arms I ordered during their Black Friday sale sold out and the Johnny Joints for mine are stuck on a ship off the coast of California. Thanks to @SearArtist for letting me install his that were sitting in a pile of parts on his garage floor.

Got the new ones swapped in and set to stock lengths. I will probably adjust the uppers to give me a better pinion angle.

 

@Wishbone Runner where is the best place to get front wheel bearings?

Alignment is all jacked up and I have a weird thump, thump, thump vibration going on when I accelerate turning right. Thinking it has to be a bad wheel bearing. Might replace the LBJ’s while I am at it. Also want to replace the LCA bushings with some white lines.
