I know i wasnt asked but I've mounted several things to my Prinsu. Basically there are two options, T-nuts and carriage bolts. What's the mounting point of your Yakima ski rack look like?

Old skool Yak ski racks with the circ clip. I was thinking like you said a simple t-nut into hard plastic block. I haven't given it to much thought as the will probably be my last year in place I can ski. Planning on moving to much warmer state and dropping off my ski gear at my sisters in CO.

I know Yak makes the SmarT Slot Kit2 for the big cat ski/snowboard racks, but I have these laying around.

    Oh man…
Nice! I did that in my old 4Runner. Roll on bed liner on the entire floor to seal everything, put the carpet back in. There’s so much salt here in the winter, I couldn’t believe the build up underneath the carpet. Still need to do it to the Tacoma.

Yeah think you're on the right track. May as well repurpose and not buy anything other than some hardware if you can help it. While it would look a little tacky, you could probably get away with using some wood blocks too....especially is it were just for a few uses.

All of you folks have some really nice trucks. Mine is gonna have to be plain Jane stock for the time being. It is paid off, but I have another kid that's gonna be going to college, so I have to funnel the cash in that direction for a bit. Im just glad to have a Taco I guess.

Nothing wrong with that. This is our first vehicle ever we bought new. Everything prior has been at least 10+ yrs old. Thankfully we were able to purchase and pay off. Daughter is 12 now and we are still squirreling away as much as we can for the college days to come.

Sure do, it’s a Retrax roll-up bed cover that has slotted side rails. The rack is an UpTop “Retrax TRUSS” that mates directly to it using t-slot nuts and Allen bolts.

Depends on which hard cover you have, but UpTop has a few different options for mounting.

Installed the license plate lights covers to reduce glare when using backup camera and installed the 2021 pro taillights.

I have the same, and yes totally worth the wait. I did go ahead and do a little more finish work on mine, then had a local powder coat place do a matching color on the front and rear bumpers. Oh and my friend made a custom aluminum plate for the winch cut out to hold the front license plate while I ponder what winch to eventually put on.

Currently on a monthlong road trip with my gf. In between jobs/living situation. Had to make a return at the Santa Fe REI and then went to browse and found a freshly returned Roadshower 4L 10gal in the Garage Sale section for $160. Nothing wrong with it! The hose brackets have been removed, which is fine I would have done the same, all mounting hardware included. Can’t wait to figure out a shower head solution for it. For now with the small hose and nozzle we can wash bikes, do dishes and shower off when we can find a river or hot spring. Stoked!

Added @TOTAL CHAOS expedition LCA's in stock geometry configuration. Thanks to @a2lowvw for doing a lot of the heavy lifting with this install.
