What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I had an old school Yak rack with this mount. I killed too many brain cells trying to figure out how to mod the mount to fit on the Prinsu. I only paid $20 on Craigslist, buying mounts would have cost more than what o paid for it! So i picked up the Inno with the t-slot mount.

 

My 2020 is fully paid too, which is a great feeling. I waited a year before I started adding to it.

Might be a good idea! I haven’t washed it yet or been in rain but I’ll have to see how it does as taking it all off again seems annoying since I just did it this morning

 

Didnt do anything to the tacoma today, but I made a new mud flap for my mini bike... its reinforced with the tacomas old license plate.

 

Installed weathertech side window deflectors.

 

Installed my plug&play 2wdLo harness and switch

 

Toyota has a service campaign going on and will replace the third brake light assembly on those trucks that have that leak. It’s free.

Man, these are easily the nicest bumper Ive seen available for our trucks, but the $300 shipping charge kills me, especially when their similar stealth bumper comes in like under $100 because it doesn't have to go freight. But knowing me, I'll probably end up going all the way and getting the full plate. Did you do the install yourself? If so, how was the process for cutting the bumper to fit? I've watched their video on it and while the instructions are fairly clear, it's definitely the sort of thing you can't afford to screw up. Also how is the weight with it? Ive got nice aftermarket struts/ coils, but after adding the sliders am concerned by adding this bumper, esp with a winch, I'd be rapidly approaching the point I'd need to go up another level to the stiffer coils.

 

Finished up the Goose Gear rear seat delete, Glad I decided to do it. Hoping to get my suspension installed this week.

 

That's probably why they added it starting in 20, I believe. my 21 has intermittent.

 

There’s a thread that tells you how to do it. I followed the ideas presented there.

 

Has anyone removed the bumper on their third gen? I got the grille off and fender flares but i am having a helluva time freeing this piece. Trying to swap headlights. Anyone who is experienced and could facetime me to help I would be very thankful. I have watched all youtube videos a million times and just cant get it!! Let me know 2069488291

 

See my install notes on the thread for this bumper. It was pretty straight forward, just followed the video for the cutting (measure everything 4 times!) other than the cross bar behind the grill that hit the winch control box and deciding how to trim the wheel well trim. I have the TRD leveling kit which raised the front about 2”. Bumper + Warn Evo 10s is about 160 pounds. Definitely noticed the weight but haven’t measured for drop.

 

I went looking for the wiper stalk and found the whole assembly on eBay for about 100 bucks. Ended up getting fog lights too.

Back from NOLA and what a great time! But some of those roads are freaking brutal, had to be put in to 2LO a few times - jk. Detailed the truck inside and out and she is ready for work this week. Nice win too. Geaux Saints! Hopefully Tuesday I can finally install the MESO headlight trim pieces that I've had for quite some time then comes the tune.

 

Yes I pressure washed it. Used my foam cannon on it and let it sit for a bit and rinsed it really well. Left it on the garage floor with a dehumidifier running for a couple days. Yes it’s much easier when doing the same job a second time!

 

I’m in Canada. I called 2 different dealers and they wouldn’t give me a straight answer. The truck is well out of warranty (200000km) so I decided “I am the warranty!” (Tavarish)
