To my knowledge it's Synthetic since the first Oil Change isn't called for until 10,000.

As far as I know, there are no conventional 0w-20 oils. So all new Tacomas should have synthetic.

The OEM spec oil is synthetic. I would presume it ships with that from the factory.

    P/N 00279-0WQTE-01

My Blackstone Labs reported also listed that, I would presume they would have called it out if it had tested different.

    All 0W20 oils are "synthetic".

Weren't there a few people on here whose trucks were really low on oil when they got them and almost seized their engines

I haven't had a new vehicle since my 2003 Tacoma so things have changed since then. I was brought up using conventional oil for 1,000 to 2,000 miles then changing over to synthetic. Allowing the engine parts to seat in better. There's no way I'm going to run an engine for 10,000 miles between oil changes.

    You tell ‘em Millie’s. ;)
I’m gonna do 5-7K. Why? The manual. It’s 10k OR 1 year for an oil change. If a car sits a lot like mine and you don’t get 10k miles or more a year the oil can still absorb contaminates as it sits. I could give links but why don’t you look it up. Science. Suck it up buttercups lol.

I am 100% on board with following the recommendations of one of the worlds largest manufacturers. Never said otherwise.

    A bunch..and no build thread!
One of my girls said that to me a few weeks back. She's 22. I laughed at her. I wasn't sure if I was laughing because I am not nearly old enough to be a boomer or because she had no clue what it actually referred to.

That is also about the time I realized I am paying for useless college educations for her and her sister (20).
