hello, does anyone know of a all terrain tire that’ll also last at least 60k miles. my last all terrains were allitle disappointing to say the least. however i’m looking for a tire that i can use about 75-80% on roads and still be able to go hit trails with friends. i’m also looking for tires that are SOMEWHAT budget friendly. around $600-$800 that’ll also go the distance. not looking at any one brand, so if you have reliable all terrains please let me know. thanks

SL rated Falken Wildpeak A/TW3, looks like a set of 4 From America's Tire is $832. Rotate them regularly and you will have good results. It is asking a lot though.

    Agreed.

If you can spend the money, Michelin would serve you well.

I had a set of Yokohama Geolanders that lasted a long time. I don't recall the exact mileage, though.

Actually, the Kumhos I had on my Tacoma were in very good shape after 40K miles or so when I traded it in.

Both the Yokohama Geolander and Kumho Road Venture AT51 were inexpensive compared to others. I'd buy either one of those tires again.

The only other AT I've heard of lasting that long are BFG KO2's. But, you'll hear mixed reviews of them. And, they're more expensive.

If you're not hitting hardcore trails, stick to SL load range. Also, rotate every 5K. I've been getting great tread life by doing this.

My first set were Michelins. but did not seem to be that grate in the rain, now on BFGoodrich TAs. Good traction in rain, not a highway tire, a bumpy ride on the highway, pricey, about $900 for the set.

Just got some maxxis razr at’s in sl… stock size of 265 70r16. So far I like them. Unclear on the longevity but the price was right at $150 a tire.

14,000 miles?! Geez. What brought on their demise?

I've got 35,000 on my cheap-o Multi-Mile Wild Country XTX's. Mostly highway, some offroad on occasion. They're wearing nicely actually, maybe another 10k left in them. But for $300... i can't complain.

If you're going through tires that fast, there's something wrong besides the tires. Either your alignment is way off, or something else is going on.

I have a set of AT3's with around 16-17K miles on them and they look almost new.

How much tread do you have left? Any pictures?

These will cost about $750 before tax and mounting fees and what I currently have on my F150. I like them. It will probably be closer to $900 OTD, but you ain't gonn'a get everything you want under $800.

Toyo Tire Open Country A/T III | Discount Tire

And in the real world you ain't gonn'a get 60,000 miles out of a tire either. The Toyo's above are rated at 65,000 miles, but that is under perfect conditions and with the tread worn down to the last legal 1/32". I'm not one to drive my tires to the limit. Once you get to a certain point they may still be legal, but traction on wet pavement, snow, or off road really starts to decline. Plus driving on gravel roads, or off road, chews up the tread faster than smooth pavement. If I get 50,000 miles out of them I'll be happy.

my last tires were highway and i got about 78k on them, and my current toyos are about 14k with 1 at 2/32 2 at 3/32 and 1 at 4/32, i get the rotated every 5k. i also am not off-roading all that much it’s more gravel type trails and it’s not super often, maybe once a month.

    Jeez!

There's something very wrong if they look like that after 14K miles!

There’s something more to the story. I’ve never seen tires of any kind at 14,000 hiway miles look like that. At least not new ones anyway.
