What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Removed the bed stickers today. Wd40 seem to work the best on the glue. Cleaned it with glass cleaner. Still had a little image visible. Polishing compound by hand took care of that. Can't even tell it was there. Air dam is next.

 

be careful of the rear windows if you drive with them down. had my weathertech deflectors in for about 6 months with no problems then both rears fell out at different times

Nothing too exciting, just put the bed cover back on for winter, after having it off all summer.

 

Fluid filmed for the 2nd winter, undercarriage still looks like new.

 

Here is mine, yes measure four times at least, use tape to see the line you want to cut, error on the side of not cutting too much. You can always go back a trim, I used a razor blade utility knife for the fine tuning. The black trim will cover any opps. Go slow, and good luck.

Yes always delete chrome whenever possible.

I remember getting to my USAF duty station @ Minot AFB in the throes of winter back in the early 90s. I’m from Illinois originally, not far from St. Louis and, while it got kinda cold there, never cold enough for block heaters to be a thing. After moving to AZ at age 11, obviously block heaters also weren’t a thing. Long story short, my mind was blown seeing thousands of 3ft pillars with 110vac outlets in every parking lot and cars w/ extension cords plugged into them. I had no idea what I was seeing. I found out shortly after that when I got my very own block heater installed in my Nissan and began dealing with ambient temps exceeding -30°. Coldest I experienced was -108° windchill @ roughly -45° ambient w/ winds in excess of 70 knots in the winter of 1994 while working at one of our remote missile silos.

I also lived in Minot (Why not Minot?) Well, I'll tell ya! It was the late 60s. I actually FROZE the surface skin of my thighs walking to school.
It's might have been -30, At least in the -20's and the wind came out of the west something fierce.

I worked missile silos some years later. Concrete work. Up by Cavalier. Cold work!

 

I have 285 70 17s on mine. They are Fierce tires. I must have a lift on it but not sure. It rubs a little on slight turns going over a bump. I just put my winter tires on the other day and they look small. 265 70 17 Michelin x-ice and snow on the stock trd sport wheels.

Those gold wheels look sick btw!
