I sold my last track bike 2 years ago and moved onto Harley's full time (always had a sport bike and a Harley). I currently ride a 2020 Road Glide Special.

But I've owned a lot of bikes through the years.

My kids are still at home, but the girls are 22 and 20, so they don't need too much supervision..lol. My wife rides a Ryker and we like to go on road trips, sometimes to nowhere when we have a free weekend.

When my kids are 20/22 they won’t be living at home. Unless they make a deal with the people that buy this place. I retire when they are 18/20 and we are tipping right the fuck out.

...maaaaaybe I’ll give the younger one a year to get his shit together. Maybe.

Happy to say, ordered Forma tall Adventure Boots from www.dirtbikebitz.com on 10/27 and they are already out for delivery. Going to add to my list as a good place to order from. Ill check back in after they are delivered. Hopefully i don't have to pay any customs fees, and then id save $90 over revzilla.

They have good prices on adv boots over $100 savings from revzilla and the US. But mostly have dirt bike gear- helmets, jerseys, etc.

edit, the boots will be delivered before the bike. Cmon Honda :bananadead:

No name change. Looks like we might have another member popping in that actually puts on some serious miles!

IF I ever considered actually owning a Harley the Road Glide would be the likely choice. That new Pan America looks interesting though. Closest I'm likely to get in reality is the Buell in my avatar that I still own. With what HD did to Buell and Buell owners though makes it highly unlikely I would ever buy a bike from them though.

I don't think my Scrambler is faster than my FZ09.

I put miles on my bikes. We have clubhouses all over and we like to ride to them, lots of miles with just those trips. When I lived in FL I didn't even own a car for 7 years. Just bikes and I used to come home to NY every few months to see my family. Now, it's mostly club rides and recreational with the wife. 2021 saw about 24K so far.

Believe me, as soon as they graduate college, they are out of here. The wife and I are moving back to Florida and they aren't..lol. I always tell them I was out of my house and on my own at 17 so I consider them slackers. But, their Mom always chimes in with "you're a guy, it's easier for guys."

Just the little bit of time sitting on the Scrambler and the FTR, the FTR felt a little bit more balanced/lighter(maybe the COG is lower but I haven't compared the specs yet).

Haha. I'm not ready to make anymore purchases yet. I gotta decide what direction I'm going with this Rally next season after I get it out on some more dirt trails.

I do some long distance endurance rallies and prefer being on 2 wheels over 4 anytime except when there's snow on the roads. 2018 was my best single year with just shy of 25k. 2019 I ended up around 18k but that was after being hit head on in TN and having that bike destroyed and my g/f suffering some compression fractures to some vertebrae. 2020 and Covid was pretty much a lost year with under 8k miles and 2021 while an improvement is still off my preferred pace. Have about 11k so far this year and should get at least another 1k hopefully more.
