I'm debating doing a flat bed or tossing the stock bed back on. Part of me wants a flatbed, but I also like hardcore rockcrawling a stock length bed truck and watching the reactions of people! Also I wheel a Toyota so I can actually carry shit with me!

Anyone else encounter a sticky gauge / instrument cluster?

The original gauge cluster used to have a sticky speedometer. I have since replaced that gauge cluster with a newer one but now the speedo works but the tach doesn't. The only thing swapped between to two instrument clusters is the odometer. Any advice is appreciated.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Ended up having to swap in a new radiator in my son's 3rd Gen T4R today, along with a heater hose. No pictures, but it was pretty boring shit really. Flushed the system as well.

After we finished up, I decided to unbox the chop saw and start in on the bed platform.

Made probably 80% of the cuts to length. I've got qite a bit of notching ect to do (I'm going to vasically Licoln Log everything, so there wont be a bunch of but joints). But the general lengths are good to go.

WAY faster than the ole 4.5 inch angle grinder. So glad I bought this thing!

Picked up a nice used ARE old man cap this past weekend. It needs a little TLC and maybe new paint if compounding won't take out the yellowing, but with only $300 invested I think I'll still be way ahead.

Nice! I think my bumper's the same as yours, just hiding behind the brush guard. What tires are you running? The top picture looks different than the lower one. I just changed over from BFG KO2's to Toyo Open Country AT IIIs 265/75 R16. Wish I had the rails my camper top like yours...but maybe I can add these later.

Cooper STT Pro's in the top pic (current).

BFG KO's (pre-KO2) in the bottom from a few years ago.

Did you get a cluster for the wrong engine, the tach function is dependent on 6cyl or 4cyl

I have Cooper Discoverer XLT AT3 on my Tundra and have been very happy with them. How do you like the Cooper SST Pros vs. the KO2s? Are they noisy? Wet traction? I certainly like the looks of your SST Pros.

I had KO's on my Taco, never KO2's. I had KO2's on another rig and wasn't a fan. KO's and KO2's were terrible on wet pavement for me. I live in the PNW and it rains often. I swore off of KO2's after one season.

The STT Pro's are a little better, but they are a true mud terrain. They are loud and don't do the best on compact snow/ice. They are decent spring/summer/fall tires though and handle decent off road.

I have Falken Wildpeaks on my GX and they are a good mix of all around goodness.

I too don't like the KO2s wet handling and they seem to get harder and worse as they age. I like the Falkens, but wish they were a little bit lighter.

Many Thanks for the feedback as it is helpful.

Wheel bearing started making a god awful noise and then i found this today

Not entirely sure how that bushing got shaved down as much as it did, i replaced the needle bearing a while back but i know i pressed the bearing and bushing back to their proper depth

KO2s work great here, but then again we rarely get rain. It's either dry or snow, and they work great on both of those.

LOL... Well, considering I've been making all my cuts with an (abrasive) 4 1/2 angle grinder, up till now. The chop saw is definitely a time saver.

Nope, found one from a truck with the same engine (3rz), plus I swapped the digital odometer to keep the same millage reading.

Hahaha and much straighter I am sure too.

Re-did my in cab navigation with a quad lock mount I also use for my nav phone on my motorcycle. Not as large of a viewing screen as my old tablet setup but it should work for a trip to Vermont this weekend.

then hand held yes, but I've found that those chop saws with the abrassive blades walk a bit so its not perfectly straight, workable though. Now if you get an actual metal blade chop saw, thats a different story.

Yeah the abrasive blade tends to deflect. Shit even my 7" evo isn't 100% straight and there is no way for me to tune it either which sucks. It's what I get for going cheaper compared to the 14". But goddamn does it cut great. The nice part about metal is that it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect, the gaps can easily be filled with a welder.
