    You're welcome!

Hopefully Option 1 works out. If not, you can play with Option 2.

Currently running a 3 leaf progressive AAL on stock leafpack on my 2018 DCSB. No weight in the back at all. I think it rides stiff, I notice small bumps in the road and going over train tracks it certainly doesn't float like the front does.

Is the RTX Option 1 softer than a three leaf progressive AAL?

I do not know the exact answer to your question, but on the stock Sport leafs, the rear was jittery when empty. Since, I have only had one drive with nothing back there on the Option 1 packs and 5125s. It was very smooth and composed. Hardly any difference than with about 200lb of permanent weight.

Honestly, I didn't notice about 1,000lb total except when the Taco started to understeer at the limit. Hahaha!

I'm just one data point though. Maybe a couple others will post up.

That sounds promising. The front feels really good with Fox 2.5s and 600lb coils, but the rear doesn't stay planted or "float" with my 3 leaf AAL. I don't haul any weight, and this RXT Option 1 seems like it may offer the softness I'm looking for!

I’m definitely getting some of these. My question can someone give me measurements for option 1 hub to fender? DCLB over here. Planning to start here then when I get my bumper next year I can add the leaf in.

    Thanks Again

It’s less harsh than any stock leaf-pack combo, with an add-a-leaf or not.

Just got my RXT leaf pack in so three questions.

    1. Should I open the leaf pack up and throw some grease/lube on the leaf pads to prevent squeaking in the future?

    2. Once installed do you snug down the U-bolts and then set the vehicle on the ground and the torque the U-bolts? Or keep the truck up and snug and torque everything before setting on the ground?

    3. Is anyone installing a rear axle shims for Option 1 or 2? or is it not needed?

    TIA guys.

My leafs were quiet for about 7,000mi. Eventually, wheeling made them squeak just a bit. Way less noise than the stock packs. It took no time to lube them, jacking each side. You don't even need to pull the wheels.

Definitely on the ground for both the U bolts and bushings. My U bolts needed to be checked a few times, but they didn't take a lot of rotation to come up to torque.

I didn't shim the axle, but I did drop the carrier bearing about 1/4in.

    When. Accutune installed my rxt’s
    They used no grease
After a year still no squeaks
Also no shims were used and I’m on option 1 and have no vibes
Pretty sure it’s recommended to snug everything up then torque when sitting on the ground.

I had the same experience. after my first wheeling trip I must have gotten dirt between the leafs and now they squeak a bit. I carry a can of silicone spray and hit the leafs after each bath. So far that keeps them nice and quiet.

Solid advice, I don't know why I didn't think about doing a carrier bearing drop before doing a rear axle shim. I'm now also assuming my rear axle shim makes the truck ride a lot rougher.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't think so? The RXT packs do a nice job of canceling most of the axle wrap, but wheel hop in the wet is still there.
