I really like the bedside trailer, evidently whatever the cost is doesn't include the bucket. I'm curious what it will run $.

If buying new, the camper bed is amazing and retro.

The aftermarket Tundra bumper looks way better. Does sport top mean removable hard top on the Supra? I haven't kept up.

    Thanks for the photos.

Now I kinda like the new Tundy, but these black fender flares are goofy. If I put fender flares like this on my taco I’d get roasted by TW. Why so short?

Why the steel cabled winch on the chinook? Is it superior to synthetic rope?

Isn’t it the weight and the catastrophic failure potentially cutting someone in half that are down sides?

Weight is a winner on synthetics. Both have the potential to cause a very bad day if someone is standing in the wrong spot. Put a synthetic under tension in the dirt or across a rock and you will see how a synthetic line explodes at some point. Cable will handle some nasty abuses....within reason. There have been a shitpot of rigs pulled safely with steel over the last century. It boils down to thinking smartly and safely with either type.

I was expecting a bidet with warm water infused with a hint of lavender in my camping set-up.

I didn’t see it happen but my father did. As dad decried it some very attractive young lady got stuck in the dry sand on the beach in Mexico South of Rocky Point. Some young men where trying to pull her out with a Jeep and keep getting stuck. So after getting unstuck they turn their Jeep around to winch her out. One guy got in her car the other had the controls of the winch. Dad said everyone thought the girl was far enough away but the cable snapped at the hook and decapitated the girl. He said her body stood there then slowly collapse. Dad said no one move for what seemed like forever as everyone was in shock. Someone finally said we need to move her before the Mexican officials find out. Dad said it was like something that happened in a horror movie. We were in the campgrounds when it happened as my dad & John were riding in John’s buggy.

    Gnarly.

The safety culture is nearly non-existent in Mexico. Always hang a damper or two on ANY winch line and clear the safety zone.
