Osram 100/90s are the go-to if you have a relay harness. I believe the last round of testing showed very good performance from Philips RacingVision +200's, similar performance to another philips +150 bulb, but rated at 400hr lifespan rather than 250hrs, if you wanted to stick with stock wattage.

Yup, and the other great thing is that in the unlikely case that one of the new relays fails the original OEM system is still there and intact. All you would have to do is swap connectors on the bulbs and off you go.

Absolutely !! Overlooked that in my response - Thanks, Simplicity plus enhanced performance at a fraction of the compared cost of other lighting alternatives

My thinking on H4's is that since they are unsealed connectors, they are a bit of a weak starting point.

My plan for my '02 Tundra was to cut and crimp on sealed 090II terminals and 3 position 090II connectors (cap on the passenger side) then feed to a relay harness using a GEP and osram micro relays. Carrying a spare relay is easy enough, also super easy to swap high and low if you lose the low due to relay failure. I don't expect relay failures are all that common, particularly in a sealed enclosure.

But I'm definitely overbuilding mine beyond what normal people would do.

2Lo, ATRAC & locker engaged. Doesn’t hold a candle to the Ultimate headlight upgrade blasting: high beams -> low beams with Rigid SAE fogs -> just low beams. HKB voltage booster with 27F X2 AGM. Best mod ever.
    Enjoy.

I used to run Auxbeam H4 LED bulbs on my '15. I noticed after about a year that one of my bulbs would flicker slightly. From there I searched TW & found this thread. I also read some of the LED foglight reviews on another thread of his:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/

Based on what I've read & the PM's that @crashnburn80 took the time to respond to I was able to properly align my headlights AND Morimoto XB LED fog light assemblies. If I do upgrade my LED fogs it will be for the KC G4 Hilites but for now my Morimotos will do. I had them horribly adjusted before. Now they are on point & provide more light due to them being properly aligned.

As for the Halogen bulbs I didn't want to do any wiring upgrades so I decided to go with the Philips Racing Vision GT200 H4's. I am so pleased with these lights that I ordered another set. I also replaced my 4157 DRL Sylvania bulbs with a new set (same brand) just to have them all new. I'm surprised nobody flashes their high beams at me because these are very bright AND the range is awesome. I was so used to my LED's that I didn't realize how much less range those lights had compared to my current Philips H4 Halogens. I'm including some pictures with the obligatory :D front of the truck picture as well so you can see how the lights look. I live in Miami so it's hard to find a completely dark road. I'll be heading to the Everglades soon which is pitch black. Looking forward to shining my lights on some gators

The pictures don't do these lights justice.

THANK YOU @crashnburn80 for these threads, your time and your assistance.

No need for the upgraded harness with those bulbs.

still happy with these bulbs? Want to do the full upgrade as described in the thread but short on time with holidays and travel right now.

swapping bulbs, as you did, for the improvement seems like a no brainer.

Note that the Morimoto fogs are some of the lowest performing units on the market, far lower than your stock H11 halogen fogs. When you're ready to upgrade I'd strongly suggest checking out the Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs, even their Sport fogs are going to make it look like your Morimotos were never even on.

Currently have the truck in for a throwout bearing replacement, which leaves me borrowing an 06 caravan from my parents in the meantime. Struggling to see at night after work. About 5-10 minutes of unlit range road driving each night and I'm just happy to make it to the end.

Missing my taco with the ultimate upgrade.

Also had the frame recall done a little while ago, dealer outsourced rental to local enterprise, and I got a 2020 rvr. Had led headlights, but pretty certain this upgrade provides better lighting than the rvr had. Possibly a more distinct low beam and high beam as well

Yes. Very happy with the bulbs. The ONLY thing I may upgrade later is the fogs but for sure I am happy with these Halogens.

Yeah. I saw your test. Morimotos aren't very bright but in my case they were so horribly aimed before that now they look awesome., being properly aimed of course. IF I do replace them it will be with the SS3 or the KC Gravitys.

Speaking and one who had the KC's, go with the SS3's. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Just put SS3s in my rear bumper for auxiliary backup lights, have tried a few different ones, the SS3s are far and away superior, and I only got the sports. I've got some SSC2s for the front I need to get around and install. They really are the best
