What fancy steakhouse does everyone like? GF just passed her Physical Therapy boards and want to treat her. I've personally been to Flemings and Mastros. Lets keep it Camelback, Scottsdale, Chandler areas please.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Houston's is pretty good, and an old account from my liquor rep days.

Bourbon and Bones is a personal favorite, I'll refer you to the first word of the restaurant name there.

There's also Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Haven't been there personally, but have heard good things.

Honorable mentions that are not Steak-focused: Mastro's Ocean Club, Toca Madera, and Nobu, based on proximity to some of the places you mentioned.

Got the camper most of the way installed. Rear end is all buttoned up, minus some rivets (need a gun). Front edge needs three pieces installed to close that off.

    Fairly straightforward installation

Lots of these tracks spread throughout. Captures the bolt head for easy tightening. Will use these to mount various things as the build progresses.

It doesn't follow the lines of the body, but that's no surprise. It's straight and the outside of the bed rails is not.

One super cool 'feature' I was unaware of is the fact that the top of the tent is installed inside the perimeter of the top cover a ways. This gives all of the tent material a place to go when you close it. No need to karate chop the fabric in so the lid can seal. I like this a lot. Photo sucks though.

[IMG]Alucab CC Install Photos by Michael Rickerd, on Flickr

Maybe it's lighter than expected because it isn't a slide in? It is incredibly stout. The mounting brackets to the bed get a big thumbs up from me.

The back of these things, even without any add-ons, is just so cool in my opinion. The door with the latch is badass.

    Immediate pros:

    - Loads of space inside. Raise the bed section (it's on struts) and I can fully stand in the bed and move around quite a bit.
    - The 'desk' section (a small platform at bed level that pivots up towards the back of the truck) is the perfect height for my standing desk.
    - The bed section of the upstairs is large enough that I can lay on it comfortably without needing to use the 'desk' portion to rest my head.
    - It looks fantastic.
    - Struts are very powerful, doors swing open easily. The lid is supported by 4 struts. It is very hard to pull down at the moment. Maybe it will break in. The loop used to pull it closed is well placed.
    - Feels very well made. No gaps (apart from where I need to seal it to the truck bed) or janky parts.
    - Lots of framework to use as mounting points.
    - It is just about pitch black inside the tent portion when it is all closed up.

    Immediate cons:

    - The Tacomas head rail (piece of metal that runs along the back of the cab below the rear window) is at a different height than the bed rails. So the camper doesn't go all the way to that. Rather, a filler/cover plate is installed. Not a huge deal, but it doesn't fit as cleanly as I imagined.
    - Rivets here and there. I personally like nuts and bolts.

All in all, well worth the $15,000 something like this costs. Excited to get the awning on tomorrow to see how massive it is!

    Congrats to her!

Skip all those chain and "fancy" places that make you think they aren't a chain. Hit up Restaurant Progress, Ocotillo or Dicks Hideaway.

Cops find out you were having too much fun?

Great looking camper(?) first thing I thought of when I saw the profile was “think of all the cool stickers you can fit on that beast!”

Well I caved and had the dealership (Camelback) do a bunch of maintenance on my truck. Power steering fluid flush, coolant flush, oil change, air/cabin filter, alignment (again) and some other shit. Maybe its placebo maybe its real but there is something about maintenance that just makes the truck feel "better." Not having to hold the wheel straight is one thing but it just feels different. Would have been nice to do it all myself and save a couple hundo but it just needed to get done and I didnt have the time or place since the truck doesnt fit in the garage in Flagstaff. /CSB

p.s. my power steering fluid and coolant were fucking BROWN. I could not believe it.

It's a little disconcerting that your power steering and coolant were in that bad of shape, in a 2018...

My odo shows 70,000+ and its actually 80,000+ since Ive been on 35s with no correction basically the entire time so its off by ~12 percent. Also a shitload of that mileage has been bombing offroad in very dusty conditions. Not in the exaggerated kind of way, in the real kind of way. I wild camp 30+ nights a year.
