Thanks for tagging me. I've been at sea the last few days and haven't really been looking at the news. I missed the peak, but considering I bought 45 last year when they were at $10, I'm not going to grumble too much.

curently having an internal debate about if i should buy on IPO day.

i think there is a lot of hype around it with the Amazon and Ford catalyst

I have a buddy who works there and from what I've seen (that's public info) I really like their automation and manufacturing.

I think they'll be successful long term if they can actually scale

i have high hopes for it. if they can successfully deliver the last mile delivery vehicles for Amazon then i think it opens up a whole new market for them with other big companies wanting to go green.

I'm concerned with market saturation. You have Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Lordstown (maybe) and Fisker. GM is supposed to be offering 20 evs by 2023. That doesn't look like it is happening. Ford has the lightning and hideous mustang. That's a lot of players.

I'm hoping Ford will just partner with Rivian for their EVs. Fords been doing some surprising things lately. Like the whole TT deal with Toyota

    Ford own ~5% of Rivian.

right, thats why I'm saying maybe they'll just let Rivian take over the EVs for them.

+Voltswagan, and all the Chinese EV companies e.g., BYD (of which Berkshire owns ~10%).

Buy at open sell 3 hours later for profit. Wait 1 weeks and buy back in once the price stabilizes. After IPO frenzy historically most companies trade lower.
