I’m 2hrs away from Conway and can tell you Conway is booming in growth every time I go out that way. I don't blame you making the move out of CA. I used to live in Socal for 10yrs with the Navy and its hella expensive down there. The wife is from Oceanside so we make several trips out that way each year to visit family. You’ll love it out here!

If you quarter AR on a map, the northwest square is the area I like best.
Granted, I don't live in AR but I visit often enough since it's just across the river here.

Fayetteville if you like a college town vibe, I'm partial to Rogers myself. If you mountain bike this area is definitely where it's at.

Yes. My sister was looking at moving back to AR from KY not too long ago and she said they were offering people money to move there. I believe it's one of the fastest growing areas in the region. Like someone else said, there's a lot of money there.

Edit: Looks like its geared towards remote workers:

Best place to be is close enough to the goods/services of the exploding Fayetteville/Springdale/Bentonville, but far enough to avoid encroaching wokeness (mostly in Fay) and lack of traffic planning.

Conway is definitely a growing area. I don't spend much time there, but my only complaint is I hate all the round abouts they insist on putting in. If you want to live outside of a major city, Benton is nice. That is where I live right outside of city limits. 20 minutes from Little Rock and 25 minutes from Hot Springs. It is a growing area too! A lot of people are moving out of Little Rock to the Benton/Bryant area.

There's a lot of corporate money in Fayetteville, and it's a big college town, which attracts a lot of people from out of state. Those factors definitely mold the demographic and environment to make it the *it* town.

I'm a fan of Jonesboro clearly, since I live there. It gets slept on as there's a lot of farmland, but it has lots of restaurants, manufacturing, low crime, and you can pretty much run around with 5% tint on the windshield if you want to. And hey, it's an hour or so to Memphis, which is way better than Little Rock, tbh :duel:

Closer to a quarter mile strip and the Memphis Zoo too! Does Jonesboro have a decent downtown area for walking to restaurants/bars? I haven't been there in years.

Rogers recently passed an ordinance allowing us to walk around the downtown district with adult beverages in hand.

They've really been trying to revamp it. The downtown is definitely more "happening" than it used to be. There's a few good public parking lots that you can walk from to a few bars, restaurants, and some of the local stores like Gearhead Outfitters and the little boutiques. They've even got some fancy lofts to rent down there now too.

We lost most of the mall in the tornado last year, but there's been restaurants and stores going up everywhere.
