I originally didn’t like the look of the flares but I think they are growing on me. Think I’m converted on the +4. Thanks guys!

The Fiberwerx +4 flares taper in a bit more at the front of the fender. If I ever blow these advanced fiberglass up I’ll be switching to the fiberwerx. Kinda like the look of them more.

Just gotta weigh the pros and cons. If you do tight trail stuff an 8” wider track width won’t be friendly. If you don’t, I don’t see cons. Also, be aware. Fiberglass doesn’t last forever and you will be replacing panels periodically.

Need to move some clapped-out mowers? JD LT has got you covered! The Clampetts could only dream of performance like this. Rides so smooth it’ll make you slap ya momma!

After lodging myself into a tree last trip, I'm really glad I decided to not put glass on.

yeah I live in southern Utah so most trails are fairly open here. I like doing some crawling obstacles but enjoy the faster trails more.

This was one of those trees that jumps out at you. I was just parked there and bam, tree in the fender.

So at 65" stock wms to wms with a +4 you're only at 73 wms to wms aka 1" more than full width won ton axles. Now you can use less aggressive BS wheels to keep it a tad narrower too.

Too much back spacing is going to cause issues with control arm interference I would bet. Hell @EatSleepTacos was breaking his banjo bolt off the caliper with -38's

I don't see how wheel specs would cause the banjo bolt to smack the LCA seeing as the caliper/suspension location doesn't change. Unless you got a high backspacing wheel and let the tire hit the control arm/frame first, but that's a band-aid at best.

I'm happy to report that no more banjo bolt issues with the tundra rack, since steering is limited with it.

Yup, I thought about that immediately after I posted lol. Happy that issue resolved

Either way you can only go so deep with back spacing before the UCA becomes an issue. Im not sure how much room is there to play.

You and me both. This previous trip was my third one since LT was installed and the first one where nothing mechanical broke. Now I've just got a solid front end. Smacked a ditch doing 25ish mph, huge dent in my skid, flung my spare tire up and broke my back window, and the suspension was fine.

I whacked a cross ditch at about 40 2 weekends ago. Scared the shit out of me. Suspension and steering all held up, but I definitely have a gnarly clunk I have to figure out. I'm of the opinion I either broke the frame at the engine mount or just wiped out the mount. Ill have to get it on the lift one day to see what I can find. The more stout the truck gets the harder I push it. I need a damn cage before I turn into a pancake.

Its a road I've been on literally thousands of times through my life. It was actually a bad washout, didn't realize they got that much rain. Things happen. Over confidence happens.

    Too many to remember
I built my whole truck around the idea of not having to pre run anything and just go for it at full speed :)

I built mine to have the same wheel travel as a stock Ford Raptor, but less payload and less power.

LOL if that isnt the truth. But most Raptor guys here are spotted in the mall parking lot all shiny and scratch/dent free.

I've seen a lot of "overland" type raptors over here in the east coast. They even add their instagram handle onto a window so you can follow their travels. It's hilarious.
