I agree. I mean, they fired the guy immediately, which was good. But it looks shady now that after a year, they fired the accuser (the husband/assistant coach) and claimed it was due to COVID downsizing. Then he filed the lawsuit. The Pens did it mostly right, it seemed, until it came out that they made him stay quiet and then fired him for a seemingly weak reason. If the details come out, it'll be interesting how the "keep it quiet" played out.

 

Yeah they fired him. But in most cases nothing else happens. The victims are affected for the rest of their lives and usually unless they received therapy are dysfunctional in a lot of different ways. It’s extremely sad. The predators need to be punished severely. Just firing a guy and letting him run around he’s gonna do it again to someone else’s kid maybe not in hockey maybe not any sport but could be in a neighborhood or church etc. It’s a heinous crime. I put it up there with murder. You kill the victim from the inside forever.

 

I hear what you are saying. In the case of the Penguins it was nothing to do with kids or anything like the Beach thing. The head coach hit on and inappropriately touched the assistant coaches wife, when he went out of the room. Not saying that is ok, because it's not. But I think it's more of a guy being a sleezeball than a predator. In the Blackhawks situation, that guy has something wrong w him and is a predator for sure.

 

Hanson Brother Steve Carlson needs a hand.

 

I don’t disagree. He just seems out of position a lot after making the initial save, and seems to make the wrong decisions at the wrong time.

 

This guy and his brothers have brought me continued laughs over the years. Here's to Steve and a strong recovery.

Phi/Pitt was a tight game. The OT goal, I think the zebras got it correct. The puck appeared to completely cross the line to me.
